Alexis was standing between two different food vendors trying to decide which one sounded more appealing when a guy approached her. She heard his greeting before she fully saw him and had half a mind to roll her eyes until she turned to look at him properly. Oh. My. God. It was the guy she'd seen chatting with the firefighters and he was even hotter up close. Wow.
For a second she almost forgot what it was he'd said to her. After a beat she smiled. It was a well practiced smile. Full of the perfect combination of tantalizing doe eyes with a hint of mischief and a smile that made her lips looks extra kissable. Yes, she'd quite literally practiced this smile in the mirror countless times over the last few years and it rarely failed her.
"Well, I guess my name would be a good place to start. I'm Alexis," she introduced herself. "You're new to town, aren't you?" she asked him.

Jasper wouldn’t have faulted her if she laughed in his face and walked off. But, instead she took a moment and smiled. And that smile… fuck, Jasper had seem some pretty girls with lovely smiles. But this one, was stunning. Those doe eyes, that smile and red sundress…
He was going to get himself into some trouble if he wasn’t careful.
“Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you Alexis. I’m Jasper.” He said as he offered a hand to her, if she took it he would pull her closer and kiss her hand. “Do I stand out that obviously?” he was used to being picked out ad a newbie in towns, particularly because of her red hair. Not that he minded, he rather liked notice being taken of him. Especially by someone who looked like Alexis. “Judging by your last question, am I right in assuming you’re a local?”
Alec has suspected for quite some time that Harland and Gemma might be more than friends but he made it a point not to pry. He was sure that everyone in the pack would be supportive. More than supportive. They'd be bursting with joy if the two of them ever decided to make it official or tell them about their relationship. For now, Alec was happy to let them figure it out. He grinned as Harland explained he'd be defending his title. "Good. I'll be there," he ensured the man. Alec was incredibly lucky to have people like Harland Shaw and Gemma Tramell as members of his pack. They were truly irreplaceable.
He might have excused himself them but Harland's comment made him curious. "Oh?" he asked, interest certainly peaked. He had no idea who it could be.
While working the event definitely had its moments, it was typically a rather relaxed setting. So long as tempers didn’t flare too heavily and no one was too intoxicated. Though, the other concern was for the wolves behaving. All the scents could be overwhelming, and while she knew those in the Shadowridge pack would conduct themselves accordingly; she couldn’t speak to that of the members of Bloodrose. Gemma hadn’t caught scent of the Bloodrose Alpha, so she assumed Darcy was likely working at the ranger station. She grinned when Alec approached, nodding at his words. He wasn’t wrong; even if they hadn’t been working or participating in the festival; the duo would have inevitably ended up perusing the vendors tents together. Harland and Gemma were just drawn to each other like that.
When Harland mentioned to Alec he had someone he wanted the alpha to meet, she couldn’t help but smile. It was so good for Kenna to get to meet the pack, to see that her ‘family’ was much larger than she realized. She was just thankful the girl didn’t seem to mind her being around.

Jasper. That was a cute name. It suited him. "Nice to meet you," she said as she took his hand and then was delightfully surprised when he not only moved closer but then kissed her hand. Okay Mr. Charming. I see you. She smiled up at him approvingly, a look that not many young guys in this town got from her.
After he had kissed her hand she let his fingertips linger against his, not rushing to pull them away. Alexis was an attention whore and Jasper happened to be hitting all the right buttons so far rather than just making her roll her eyes. "Yep, born and raised. And you only stand out because of that reason. Small town, been here forever, I tend to notice new faces more than some," she said with a quick little shrug that just so happened to make her breasts bounce a bit in her dress. "So where are you from? And what brings you here of all places?"
Oh the Spring Apple Blossom Bash had rolled around again and Eowyn was already dreading it, but how could she not use the little business boost that came with entering the "The Best Apple Pie Contest"! She carried her pie and it wasn't apple either nor had it been the year before and the one before that, she liked to kind of go against the grain of some of the local grannies and the more rich housewives so Eowyn was entering a blackberry and fig pie in the Apple pie contest. Pure evil.
As she walked across the road with her glass dish eyes were already watching the weird Wyrm woman, owner of the bizarre little sweets store, and the clouds began to collect an omen of a sudden storm perhaps?
Someone grabbed her arm pulling her back from a teenager on a bicycle that surely would have collided with her, "Oh my goodness I almost lost my pie," she turned to greet her savior, "Thank you so much.."

Ferris shrugged. He wasn't so sure about it being a great idea, but it was something active. Jasper seemed like a smart kid, he'd figure out the town layout and side streets quickly enough. "Sure. Let me know if you ever need a hand," he said. As much as he was the Fire Chief and could provide official aid, his tone suggested he meant it casually too. From one honest human to another. It wasn't surprising to hear the redhead return the favor. Ferris nodded. "I appreciate it."
He could tell exactly who and where the young man's mind was on as he gave a farewell a bit later. Jasper didn't look young enough to be hanging out with high schoolers...or college girls. He watched impassively as the man made his way through the crowd, finally shaking his head. Not his business, but it was a bit awkward and not something he could keep form his character judgements about the EMT.
The fair progressed around him slowly and he started to feel a bit...disconnected. The crowd ebbed and flowed and he decided he needed a break, excusing himself to fall down the main drag of tents and back just to work the stiffness out of his legs. Conner shouted down for him to bring back something to eat, which wasn't a bad idea for the crew.
No sooner had he taken five steps to the sidewalk than a woman rushed past with glass dish as a group of kids on bikes and skateboards careened through the street. Ferris didn't have a moment to think about the who or the what, he simply lunged forward and reached out to take the woman's other arm, giving enough of a tug to pull her back a step before she was collided with. "Are you alright miss- oh, Miss Wyrm!" He recognized her as the Sweet Shoppe owner, Eowyn Wyrm. He'd not been there often himself, but he made an exception for the cinnamon rolls. "Good of you keeping hold of that," he said, glancing at the glass dish she had managed to keep balanced, as if by luck or witchcraft or both.

Jasper’s smile widened as Alexis’s reaction to his kiss lingered in the air. He noticed the way her eyes sparkled and her body language—she was clearly enjoying the attention. “Well, I’m glad to make a memorable first impression.” He said, his tone smooth and flirtatious.
He allowed his fingertips to stay close to hers, savoring the moment. “I’m from a place where the faces aren’t as charming, I’m afraid,” He teased. “But that’s all the more reason I’m happy to be here. Sweetwater’s been a pleasant surprise, and I’ve got to say, meeting someone as captivating as you definitely makes it more interesting.”
Jasper leaned in slightly, his gaze never leaving hers. “As for what brought me here, let’s just say I’m on a bit of an adventure. I’m always up for discovering new places and meeting intriguing people. And so far, you’ve certainly made this trip worth it.”
He gave her a playful wink, “So, tell me more about this town of yours. What’s the best way to get to know it—and its lovely residents—better?” [Alexis Vanderson]
Harland cleared his throat, "Um well her name is Kenna, um do you remember Sookie? Gem and I and Sookie all ran around for a long time," the big man began to explain, surely Alec would, "We dated for a little while and then she moved real abruptly...well turns out Kenna is my daughter...and well Sookie passed," Harland was getting that out of the way before Kenna got there, no need in always reminding her as she would have issues with it for a long time, "So she's staying between Gem and me."
Eowyn turned to square up with the man who'd saved her from sure disaster, tall, dark hair, and very very very handsome. Borderline hot, which was funny to Eowyn as she sort of remembered he was a firefighter? Mercy he was strong like a firefighter, maybe Mister August if he was on one of those cheesy firefighter magazines.
"Oh the pie? I believe I can credit that to your big strong grip there mister?" she patted his chest before taking a polite step back, checking herself just as caution, while tucking a piece of loose hair behind her ear, "Cinnamon Roll man? And firefighter? I'm sorry I can't recall your name, and please Eowyn is fine," looking back she gestured with her head toward the event, "Mind if we walk and talk? Got a pie contest to win...or confuggle...I'm not sure."

Had she any idea that Cisco was driven to create a firefighter calendar. Ferris would probably be on a few months, if the other man had any say. The Fire Chief would rather not be on any, but he had promised he would pose for photos. For the fundraising.
The Fire Chief managed a thin smile. 'Mister' wasn't a term he usually had directed at him. But her compliment and hand on his chest overshadowed the term. It was amusing but also just flat out nice to hear. Once Eowyn was steady under her own power, her let her go.
Ferris would never have remembered the woman if not for the number of times he picked up cinnamon rolls. It was a problem. Though admittedly, it had been a while since he last had one, so that was a bigger problem he had to rectify. "Yeah," he supposed the uniform gave that away. It wasn't something he tried to hide ever. "Ferris," he said belatedly. "Nice to properly meet you, Eowyn," he said, correcting himself per her suggestion. "Sure. Can't have the winning pie run over by a bike," he suggested firmly. Or maybe he was joking, but he did move to walk with her. "'Confuggle?'" he repeated. Was that even a word?
Kenna finally made it to the festival and while she was tempted to poke around for a while and look around, she ultimately decided she should probably find her dad first and find out when the results of the chili cook off would be. It didn't take her too long. Harland was not a hard guy to find. When she saw him she gave him a smile and then a hug before hugging Gemma as well and taking a look at the man they were with. She had no idea who he was but he gave off a very authoritative vibe. "Hey, sorry I'm late," she said, expecting that there would probably be some sort of introduction.

Alec definitely remembered Sookie. He remembered how suddenly she'd left and how heartbroken Harland had been about it. He could tell something was going on between Harland and Gemma now though he didn't know the specifics of that. His eyes widened briefly in surprise to find out all the news. Harland had a daughter who no longer had a mother. And she was here. What an unexpected turn of events. He wondered if she had inherited the wolf gene, if she'd transformed yet, or if Harland had even mentioned all that to her yet. Questions that would have to be answered later because the daughter in question was now approaching them.
"You must be Kenna," Alec said with a warm smile and held out his hand for a handshake which she took hesitantly. "I'm the town councilman here in Sweetwater." He of course didn't mention his alpha status because he didn't know if she'd know what the meant, not to mention they were in a very crowded public space.

Jasper evaded her question with some vague response of where he was from. She was partly annoyed by that but mostly she found it made him even more mysterious. His reply to why he came here too seemed like it might not be the full truth. It all came together to make her more intrigued and interested in the gorgeous newcomer. "Well, let's hope it stays intriguing enough to keep you around for a bit," she said with a flirtatious smile. "It would be a shame to hurry through town so quickly that you didn't really get to experience it."
She moved towards him a little more so that he'd have to look down at her as she looked up at him with her pretty eyes, her body so close to his that she could feel his body heat but wasn't actually pressed up against him. "Perhaps a detailed tour from someone who's been here their whole life?" she suggested with a sly smile. "I'd be happy to show you around..." Jasper Brekker

Jasper couldn’t help but grin as Alexis moved in closer, her playful energy pulling him in even more. The way she flirted, the subtle heat of her body near his—it was like a game, one he was all too happy to play.
“I’ll admit,” He said, voice low and teasing, “I’ve always liked a good tour... especially when it comes from someone as captivating as you.” His eyes flicked over her, lingering just long enough to make his interest clear. “Seems like I’d be missing out if I left too soon.”
He leaned in just slightly, letting his words hang in the space between them, close enough for the tension to crackle. “Think you can show me everything worth sticking around for?” [Alexis Vanderson]
