A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?

General personality: Alec is a true alpha wolf. He doesn't rule with an iron fist, that would only make him appear weaker. Rather he leads the pack with a calm and confident sense of neutrality. His general demeanor automatically make other wolves trust in his leadership and direction in a sense of respect and the comfort that they will be lead in a way that will keep them all safe and happy. It's clear to his pack he's not a pushover and it's that sense of security that make him an easy leader, they can trust he'll always have their backs. That doesn't mean he's always serious though. He loves pack get togethers and has a good time laughing and playing with the rest of them. It's not uncommon to roughhouse, especially when in their wolf forms, and he has a laugh that echoes through a room.
Outside of the pack dynamic, Alec is someone that exudes confidence and wisdom. As town councilman he's always worked hard to benefit Sweetwater and he has an exceptional approval rate among Sweetwater citizens with only a very few being displeased with the work he's done. It's clear he's passionate about the town and wants to see it thrive without losing it's small town, homey feel. Though not recognized by the general (human) public, he's also put a lot of effort into making the town somewhere that is safe for supernaturals and he has a good working relationship with most of them (save for the bloodrose pack members which is trickier).
In his personal life, it's hard to get under the tough shell of the alpha. He cares deeply about his pack members but he hasn't let down his shield enough to allow for deeper personal relationships. He's happy to share his bed but doesn't share his heart as easily. Maybe he's secretly waiting for an imprint to happen. Maybe he's afraid he just doesn't have time to commit to a serious relationship with all of his other responsibilities. Or maybe he's hiding a fear of the rejection he felt from his childhood pack. HISTORY
Education: Masters in Political Science Years in Sweetwater: 35 Family Members: Parents deceased. Two living younger brothers [OPEN]. His pack is his family. He has 2-3 baby mommas and 1-2 children from each [OPEN].
General History: Alec grew up in Michigan. He was a born werewolf and lived a good life in the northern part of the state with his family and pack. It was as he grew older and began to show leadership capabilities that he started to struggle with his position in the pack. He was simply born to lead and couldn't be content to be a follower. His alpha, seeing this traits, eventually kicked him out of the pack. It was hurtful but Alec would ultimately learn that it was meant to not only protect the alpha's pack but to benefit Alec as well.
He spent some time wandering through both the United States and Canada as mostly a lone wolf. He made some connections with a few other lone wolves during that time period and many of them still remain friends, some even would one day join his pack. He found himself interested in politics and making a difference in the world around him so he went to college to get a degree, working various low level political jobs in his life.
When he was in his late 40s he stumbled upon Sweetwater. Or maybe he was drawn to it. It was even smaller back then and he kept to himself for a few years before noticing more and more werewolves in the area. Pack mentality drew these lone wolves to befriend one another and soon it was natural that a pack ought to be formed. Twenty five years ago, when Alec was 53, he naturally took on the role of Alpha and joined the lone wolves in the area to form the Shadowridge pack. Things thrived under his leadership and though fights were always natural here and there, for the most part the pack was content with how things were.
Having the itch to also improve the town, he started to make more of a name for himself over the years and was elected to be the town councilman when he was 65, though the mortals in town assume he's in his late 30s or early 40s. He was able to steer Sweetwater in a more fruitful direction and the city has grown and thrived under his leadership.
Things were going smoothly until the Bloodrose pack showed up one day in Sweetwater. Until their arrival, any werewolves who entered Sweetwater were all lone wolves who fairly easily joined the Shadowridge pack. Alec became very territorial and was threatened by the fact that being a pack, Bloodrose already had an alpha. Having been kicked out of his own pack in his youth he naturally feared that if he has to compete with another alpha that it simply wouldn't work, so he pushed back against the idea of the Bloodrose pack combining with Shadowridge. He also was concerned with the younger ages of the wolves in Bloodrose and that their presence would mean it would be more likely that humans would come across werewolves and a 'witch hunt' would begin against their kind. Ultimately he just didn't trust the new pack to be discreet so he pushed back against them even staying in Sweetwater and tried to kick them out. However, they proved to be hard to get rid of. They are currently living in stubborn co-existence and Alec has warned his own pack against becoming too close with anyone in Bloodrose.
