03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
Once Jack had hung up from his call with Callie he had started to put his ideas into action. He was going to take her on a proper date. It was a risk for sure but he had a way to lessen that too. He made a few calls and reservations, thinking through how to make it as memorable as possible. No, he didn't need to wine and dine her in order to get what they both clearly wanted but for some reason he found the idea of doing it like this to be damn exciting. By the time Friday night rolled around, everything was ready for the next day.
On Saturday he sent her a quick snapchat, keeping things in that app felt more secure than an average text.
SPARROW | Meet me at the end of Cherry St. around 2?
It would be a good place to keep her car without drawing attention and the street dead ended so there wouldn't be people around to see her getting into his car. It was just before 2pm in the afternoon when he parked in the dead end street and looked around. No one to be found though it wouldn't be impossible for people to walk by, they would just need to be aware before anyone saw her getting into her principal's car. Fuck, why did that thought make him feel so aroused?
He had opened for a pair of very nice fitted white jeans, black crocodile skin cowboy boots that were tucked under his pant leg, and a white button up shirt with a design of black flowers, the sleeves rolled up to his mid forearms and the top button undone. He had bought a fresh bottle of his favorite cologne as well and was smelling incredible. He wore a pair of aviator sunglasses as he sat in the driver seat and waited for his date to show up.

After their play on Snapchat and agreeing to a date; Callie couldn’t believe just how long it seemed to take the time to pass and bring Saturday to be. She hadn’t gone on an actual, ‘proper date’ in… she couldn’t even remember. And the fact that she had finally been asked out on a date, and by her principal no less; made it all so thrilling. Still, Callie kept the date to herself, not being foolish enough to let anything out to even her closest of friends.
But, keeping it to herself did leave her solo on her throwing and outfit together. Jack (she got such a rush every time she thought his name, feeling so naughty when she didn’t refer to him as Principal Hollifield) had been rather tight lipped about his plans for them, so she just had to try and make sure her outfit was a bit flexible. He’d said skirt or pants, and nice but not overly formal. There was no telling just what he had planned for them, and she was looking forward to finding out.
It was a little after 1 in the afternoon and Callie was putting the finishing touches on her hair, it was down and lay in soft beachy waves, she opted for a minimalist makeup look, and applied a soft spritz of her perfume, the citrus, vanilla and coffee notes wafting in the air everywhere she stepped. She had always preferred the fruity scents versus the floral ones. She had just pulled her jacket on when she got a notification from Snapchat, her heartbeat racing with excitement.
Callie.B.me | Yes Sir, I’ll be there
Callie sent the message and grinned, giving herself another once over in the mirror before she grabbed the keys to her old truck. It didn’t take long for Callie to get to the dead end street, and she gave a careful glance around before she parked and got out of her truck, trying to make sure she hadn’t seen anyone in the area to see as she locked her truck and approached Principal Hollifi- no; Jack’s vehicle. Her cheeks were lightly blushed, but the smile… her smile was positively enchanting.

Jack felt his skin heat as he watched Callie's car pull up and park. He would have normally done the gentlemanly thing and got out of the car to greet her but he'd have to save such chivalry for later. It would be best to not take too long and to not risk being seen together if he got out to open her door. It made him feel terrible, he found he wanted to spoil her, but he'd make up for that later.
He removed his sunglasses as she approached his car, getting a good look at her and her beautiful smile. She was simply enchanting. He motioned for her to get into the passenger seat and couldn't stop staring at her, his own smile lifting his lips as excitement trilled through his body. "I'm sorry I didn't get out, I'm sure you understand," he apologized, looking a bit guilty but offering a shrug. "You look stunning, Calliope," he praised her, opening looking her up and down before he took her hand and placed a kiss to her knuckles. "You ready to get out of here?" he asked with a growing smile.
He'd been holding back on how he treated her compared to when he usually spent time with women but no more. Tonight she'd see him in his true form, no hesitation, no withholding. He wanted her to see his true nature when it came to beautiful women like her.

Why she suddenly felt such a rush of nervousness in her stomach as she approached his car; she wouldn’t know. Except she did know. She was going on a date. A date! With Jack Hollifield! Her principal. But catching sight of his charming smile as she approached turned that nervousness into excitement. Not just due to his smile, but the way he stared at her. Callie was by no means modest or shy about it; she knew she looked fantastic.
Her dirty blonde hair shined in the sunlight as she nodded, opening the passenger side door and easing herself into the seat with a smile. “Oh, of course. Better safe than sorry.” She offered with a playful wink. The pair definitely should not be seen together, not in their small town where she was a senior and he her principal. She smiled wide at his compliment, finding it quite amusing that she couldn’t stand anyone calling her by her full first name… but damn; she loved hearing her name from his lips. She was also enjoying his eyes taking in the sight of her, but it was his lips pressing a kiss to her knuckles that made her blush. This was a side of him she’d never seen, and she was looking forward to getting to know him.
“Oh, I was born ready.” Callie teased with a wink as she eased her seatbelt on. Now it was Callie’s turn to admire him, and she couldn’t help but gently bite her bottom lip as she checked him out. “You look amazing, Jack.” Saying his name was almost enough to make her blush again, since the last time she’d used his name, they were both wearing a lot less. It also felt so naughty, like she shouldn’t be calling him by his named. And yet, she couldn’t help but also enjoy just how nicely his name rolled off her tongue.

Jack was grateful that Callie also recognized the need for discretion and she wasn't upset by that. If he was being honest with himself, he was really enjoying the naughty secrecy of it. It felt exciting and dangerous and got his blood pumping...to all the right places. When she called him by his first name his eyes jumped to hers and the smile on his face grew. He heard his name all the time but when she had been calling him by his title up until this point, it made his name sound all the more thrilling on her lips.
He acknowledged her compliment with a playful wink as he put the car in drive and turned it back onto the road. As they wound through the neighborhood streets he placed his hand on her thigh as he drove. "Talk to me," he said, "tell me about your day." For some reason he just wanted to listen to her talk about normal, everyday things.

While of course part of Callie couldn't help but wonder exactly what they were doing, there wasn't really a way for whatever this was to work out. But that didn't deter her. Even if this was simply another fling, she'd could handle that. But she really needed to work on not letting herself get attached, which was not an easy feat when Jack sat there looking as good as he did, that charming smile pulling at the corners of his mouth as she said his name. And then a playful wink too?
Fuck, she was screwed.
Especially when it didn't stop there; as he got the vehicle moving through the neighborhood, his hand moved to rest of her thigh and she could quite literally feel her heart skip a beat. As well as feel a rush of excitement. She loved when he touched her. Callie's brow rose at his words and she couldn't help but smile. “Well, I went for a run this morning, then stopped by to check on a few of the plants at the greenhouse, and had breakfast with my sister when I got home.” While their parents and younger siblings weren't back in town; Kota had definitely been there to help keep her from being too nervous over this date.
It hadn't been an easy task either, as Kota knew well enough that Callie didn't typically go on dates. Which made her curious, but she didn't press when Callie insisted it wasn't anyone she knew. She only felt a little guilty for the lie, as it was necessary. Especially while she was still a student at the high school.
“After a shower, I just took my time getting ready… I wanted to look good for you.” She added with a playful wink and moved her hand to trace along the back of his hand on her thigh. “I hope I'm dressed accordingly, you didn't give me much to go on.”

Jack often started his day off with a run and he smiled as she began that way. Sounded like quite a nice and productive day actually. Though by the time she said she wanted to look good for him, his mind was no longer on the activities of her day. He made eye contact with her as often as he could as he drove, mostly keeping his eyes on the road but sparing her a glance whenever he could.
"You look perfect, Calliope. I'm sorry I wasn't more descriptive," he said, his hand moved softly up and down her thigh until he was met with bare skin where the hole in her jeans was. His fingertips traced around the smooth skin all along the edges of the hole before he gently teased his fingers under the fabric on the upper part of the hole. His touch was soft, almost lazy, but he was being very intentional about how and where he touched her. "You're such a good girl to get all dressed up for me like that. I like how you want to look good for me," and he'd certainly never been disappointed in her attire.

This was so different from what Calliope was used to. And it filled her with a sort of nervous excitement, especially seeing how he managed to drive and still made eye contact with her as often as he could. That was definitely a first. On both counts. Being asked about her day; and having a man make eye contact versus just staring at parts of her. And it made her stomach do all sorts of excited little somersaults.
“Thank-you, Jack. And you don''t need to apologize; it definitely made for a fun time of picking through my closet.” She teased with a soft smile. His compliment made a lovely rosy glow grace her cheeks, but it was his hand moving gently along her thigh; finding his way to the hole in the denim and his fingers tracing along her skin that made her gently bite on her bottom lip.
It wasn't fair how he could make something as simple as teasing along a hole in her jeans this exciting. Callie couldn't help it; she loved feeling him touch her. Even in such a casually playful manner. Because no matter how casual it seemed; Jack was very intentional with how he dipped his fingers under the fabric on her upper thigh. It wasn't fair how something that simple could make her crave her touch and attentions further.
She was an absolute mess when it came to him. And she didn't care; she just wanted- no, needed him.
And then there he went praising her further. Fuck.
“Of course I want to look good for you. It's so much more fun to watch you eye me with that look in your eyes. You know,” Callie brushed some hair from her shoulder as she watched him with that deliciously teasing smile on her lips. “The one where I can just tell you're thinking about undressing me with your teeth.” While Calliope Bartlett might seem like the polite, student to those who didn't know her; she was far from timid or shy when it came to Jack. Her hand gently moved to ever so slowly trail across her chest, caressing over her cleavage before giving him a seductive wink as her hand move up his arm.

He noticed the little lip bite from the corner of his eye as he drove and it drew his gaze back to her face to see it better for a moment before turning back to the road. Gods she was beautiful. As she moved her hair over her shoulder it sent a whiff of her perfume towards him, making his blood feel instantly hotter. At her statement about undressing her with his teeth, he gave her a smirking grin while still looking at the road and his hand on her thigh held her a bit tighter.
As they began to exit Sweetwater entirely he was definitely distracted as she started to move her fingers over her body. She was such a goddamn tease and he was not remotely complaining about it. He met her eyes as her hand moved against his skin and gave her a seductive smile. "You're going to make this date very...hard...aren't you little minx?"

There was something so satisfying about watching how his eyes took her in. It wasn’t simply that he made it fairly obvious that he enjoyed the sight of her, but there was a desire there that made her feel something more, something she craved to know better. His hand on her thigh tightening only made her find it a touch more difficult to behave. After all, this was a ‘first date’. She ought to be playing a little hard to get, right?
But that wasn’t what she wanted. She’d already tasted him, and scene his face buried between her legs while she was bent over his desk at school… there was no acting like she didn’t both want and need more. His question, and use of her favorite little nickname made her feel a rush of excitement. “Oh, I don’t know about making the date hard… but you; absolutely.” She gave a mischievous grin as she gently ran her hand the rest of the way up his arm and traced along his ear and neck with one of her perfectly manicured nails.

Goosebumps erupted along his skin as her nails moved along his ear and neck, the sensation somehow making him both excited and relaxed all at once. "Well there is definitely no doubt about that," he said with a grin, already sporting at least half a chub just by being in her presence. Alone.
The drive was easy. There was usually very little tragic between Sweetwater and the next closest town. He had several reasons for going there. First and foremost was that it had finer restaurants and amenities than their little town could typically provide, and second was because it was far less likely that they would be seen together there compared to at home in which there would be no hiding at all. And he very much wanted to be with her without the extra eyes...even if their age difference would surely draw attention of some.
"Do you like Italian food?" he asked, about half way there.

”Good.” She hummed softly, letting her fingers gently run up the back of his neck, almost gently massaging the base of his scalp before slowly easing her hand back down his arm. She didn’t need to distract him too much while driving. Because as badly as she wanted him and ached to enjoy more of his hands and lips on her body; she really did like Jack. He was smart and didn’t speak to her like she was some silly school girl.
Callie hadn’t been particularly far from town as of late, most of her time and focus being of her senior project and her internship at the paper. So she was definitely looking forward to this evening out with him, unable to ease the butterflies in her stomach. They were going out, together, on an actual date. She almost couldn’t contain her excitement.
“I do.” She said with a smile, then raised a brow. “What’s your favorite type of food?”

Jack was very much looking forward to tonight though there was still part of him that was nervous about it. What if it went wrong? What if someone happened to be in town and saw them? He wanted to feel more free with her but he couldn't. Though he had to admit that he did also enjoy the thrill of it, so maybe he'd just let himself lean into that for tonight.
"Good," he said replied with a half smile. Given they were going to a nice Italian restaurant it would be terrible if she didn't like it or, heaven forbit, was gluten intolerant. "Sushi is my favorite actually, but Colorado isn't exactly known for that. I do make my own sometimes with fish I ship in. Italian is a close second. Who doesn't love a good plate of warm pasta?" His stomach growled as if to confirm how good it sounded right now. He'd still rather have Callie on his tongue, but pasta would do for now.
About 40 minutes after they left they were pulling into the parking lot of 'Settebello' and Jack gave her leg another squeeze before stepped out and walking around the car to open up her door. With the door opened he held out his hand for her with a handsome smile. "Shall we, Calliope?" he purred.

Of course there were so many different scenarios racing through her mind. Most of which involved something going horribly wrong, but that was simply because Callie was more accustomed to feeling like anything she wanted was just out of her reach. But here, in this moment; it was just the two of them. His hand on her thigh, driving miles away from the little town and all the wandering eyes. Of course there was a chance of running into people, but it was a bit less likely with them going to another town entirely. And she felt flattered he was willing to go to such lengths for her, since her typical ‘rendezvous’ with an older man was in some crappy motel room or the backseat of a car. Not exactly fun or romantic.
But, an Italian restaurant out of town? This was entirely different and she couldn’t help but feel a rush of nervous and excited energy. “Sushi is a good one, but definitely not easy to come by unless you’re making it yourself. I haven’t tried making sushi, but I do enjoying cooking….” She smiled softly, chuckling as she added. “Kota even has me sort of ‘cater’ her dates on occasion.” Her younger sister was easily one of her favorite people on the planet, and yet she still had managed to keep her lips sealed about Jack to her.
Callie’s dark brown eyes sparkled with excitement at the squeeze to her thigh before he got out of the car made her smile. He opened the door and offered her a hand that she gladly accepted and eased out of the vehicle. “Of course, lead the way Jack.” She said in her more sultry tone, slipping her hand up from his hand to holding his arm. It truly wasn’t fair how good he looked and smelled.

Jack smiled when she said she liked cooking. "Do you? I quite enjoy it as well." A scene came to his mind of the two of them working together in the kitchen, making a meal, dancing around each other, little teasing touches, tasting sauce from her fingers...yeah, he needed to stay focused on the present. He admired her as she stepped out of the car. She really was incredibly beautiful.
As she took his arm his heart skipped a beat for a moment. He realized then how much they could draw attention. There was a clear age difference between them though luckily she looked a bit older than her age so maybe that would help. Then he made a decision. He didn't need to care. Not tonight. Not here. He wouldn't waste another moment of worry on what other people though and he would take full advantage of their date together. It was just Jack and Calliope...Callie.
So he smiled down at her as he locked the car and squeezed her hand on his arm softly with his opposite one before leading them inside with his head held high and a charming smile on his lips. "Reservation for Hollifield, please," he told the hostess with a smile and she led the two of them to a small round booth tucked away in the corner, as he'd requested. He wanted to fully let go for her, and to do that he wanted to give them the best opportunity for success. Feeling the freedom of privacy would be helpful.
The hostess assured them that their waiter would be there soon as she let them get settled. Jack would wait for Callie to sit before he slid into the booth beside her.
