General personality: Jack is generally really easy to get along with. He likes people, especially women (of all ages), and encourages others to pursue their passions. While he can come across as a little 'devil may care' he truly does care about his job and his students. He is a bit of health nut and prefers to eat a lot of organic, unprocessed foods and goes running on a daily basis. He avoids dairy completely.
While he does have his own personal 'rules' in life, he is far from being a stick in the mud. He's a fun guy who is quick to offer a smile and words of praise and values the idea of enjoying life, which is why he takes such good care of himself, so he can live longer to enjoy it.

Godric - Father | Shirley - Mother (Deceased) | Older sister | Younger sibling General History: It is tradition in the Hollifield family that one pursue their education and sow their wild oats before prioritizing starting a family of your own. Godric Hollifield never expected his children to marry early early. In fact, it was even discouraged.
Godric believes in the value of a good education and in encouraging the younger generations in scholarly pursuits almost more than anything else. Though he also pushed his children to gain real life experience. After all, how were they to really know what they wanted in life if they didn't try a variety of things? It was simple science.
Jack has always idolized his father, seeing him as a powerful figure who knows what he wanted and goes after it. Even though he's now in his late 70s, the man has hardly seemed to slow down. Jack took all of his father's philosophies and absorbed them into his own life. He had a great time in High School and went to Cornell University after graduation. He somehow managed to both excel in his classes and have a robust social life. He's never been much of a drinker, staying away from being truly drunk (except that one time). He simply doesn't enjoy feeling like he's not in control of himself though he has no issues with minor use of what he calls ' social enhancers'.
After getting his degree he returned home to Sweetwater where he took up a teaching job as both the basketball coach and English teacher for a few years, though he felt like it was a waste of his expensive education. He took the first opportunity he could to move up and has been the combined Principal and Dean of the school for the last 5 years.
