03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
There was very little that art couldn't fix. Lorelle had been feeling somewhat restless as of late. She was used to staying in one place for a very long time, but Sweetwater and this current age... She wasn't so sure yet. She had been here for around fifty years now, but she didn't like the people. She missed the time before technology, and she missed the way people used to dress. It had been easier to blend in back then. She wouldn't want to be caught dead in a croptop and jean shorts, which made it more difficult to blend in with people her age, although luckily she had been turned when she was twenty-five and not as a teenager. Most human twenty-five-year-olds started to dress more mature, but it was still nothing compared to the long dresses Lorelle liked to wear. Apparently there was a subculture called Gothic, which most people thought she belonged to, and she was fine with that.
The vampire had spoken to Arturo about her unrest, and he had mentioned Giacomo Ettore . Lorelle had met the other vampire before, but they didn't know each other very well. He had only been in Sweetwater for a few years. She did remember that he had an art studio, which gave Lorelle the idea to pay it a visit. So that day, in the late afternoon when the sun wasn't too harsh anymore, Lore made her way over to Giacomo's studio. She was interested in seeign some art, maybe buying some, or seeing if he knew what she could do with her own art. She liked to paint, but it wasn't on the same level as the great painters, of course. She loved Rubens and Caravaggio, because they were masters when it came to light and darkness. Chiaroscuro, as the Italians said. Clair-obscure.
She pushed open the door to the studio and had a look around to see if she could find the vampire she was looking for. She couldn't see him right away, so she started to browse the studio, pausing in front of certain paintings to have a better look at them. She was a little disappointed, because there seemed to be a lot of recent art here, which she should have expected. It was a studio, not a museum, after all.

Giacomo was in the back working on finishing up a painting he had started a couple of months prior. He had got most of it done but something about it remained unfinished and he wanted to fix that. While there was no annoying bell at the front door, there was a chime that sounded in the back studios so he'd know if someone came in while he wasn't up front, which he rarely was.
He came out from the pack with paint on his hands to find a familiar face looking at one of his paintings. They didn't know each other well at all but he did know her name. "Lorelle, what a pleasant surprise," he said with soft and curious smile. He moved to stand beside her in front of the painting, clasping his messy hands behind his back casually. "To what do I owe such a pleasure?"

She wouldn't find herself waiting very long. Before she fully realised it, someone had entered the front of the store. She had been captivated by a painting. Although she didn't particularly like modern art, this painting was absolutely stunning. It was so stunning that her vampiric senses hadn't notified her or Giacomo's arrival until he called out her name. With grace and elegance, the 'young' woman turned around. She smiled at the vampire, taking notice of the paint on his hands before he put them behind his back.
"Giacomo", she responded kindly. "I found myself bored and restless. Our mutual friend Arturo recommended I come see you, which was exactly what I need right now." She gestured at the painting she had been looking at. "Art. Artists. A timeless occupation and a timeless form of entertainment and knowledge. I wanted to see how a fellow master of the night and arts was doing." She continued to smile kindly.
