03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
After everything that happened with Price, Elijah had let himself get a touch distracted from some of his work and projects on hand. But with needing his mind elsewhere, his work offered him the perfect way out of being stuck in conversations with Siobhan about ‘delaying’ telling their kids about the divorce. Apparently they didn’t need the added stress.
He scoffed. It was much more likely that she was simply trying to avoid being around Alexis and West when the news broke. She’d probably text him to just move things forward while she and Claire were visiting Price at the facility.
The sound of his printer purring to life pulled him from his thoughts and instead, he pushed himself up from his desk. Not the one in his office at home, but his actual office in town. Where he was forced to keep himself sober for work and stay of task with his current favorite project; finding Alexis and her friend, (he’d forgotten her name… one of the Bartlett girls) an apartment. And now that spring was finally here; the apartment’s were being vacated and coming up for lease. At least, the luxury ones that he would insist were the best for them.
Elijah collected the papers, glancing at his pricey wrist watch. Alexis was supposed to meet him outside the first address. The first apartment was just a few blocks away, above a little antique store in town. So, Elijah decided to walk there. The sleeves to his powder blue shirt rolled up to just below his elbows, he also had the rest of his shirt tucked in to his dark wash jeans, having chosen to go a touch ‘casual’ today, though he still wore a tie. A simple burgundy one.
He’d be standing outside thumbing through the folder of papers he had brought with him, waiting for his daughter’s arrival.

It was finally time to start looking at apartments and Alexis was ecstatic. Her father had had to explain to her the flow of when stuff typically went up for lease and she'd been impatient about it. She hated waiting. She wanted what she wanted and she wanted it now. But she loved her daddy so she'd done her best to be good and not complain. After all, she could see how stressed he'd been lately and though she didn't know the reasons, she didn't want to be a further burden. She wished she could even take some of it away from him but the only way she knew how to do that was something she was pretty sure he'd never go for...if she ever got up the courage to actually try one day. It was scary though, what if it changed everything and she lost his respect and love for telling him what she wanted in that way. No, it wasn't worth the risk.
For once in her life she was actually right on time, her excitement to see apartments today enough to drive her into action. "Hi daddy!" she said with a wave and a bounce in her step before she reached him and then gave him a hug and kiss on the cheek with a little leg pop when she was at his side. "I'm so excited!"

The site of his daughter brought a smile to his face. Even with all the stress from the impending divorce and Price’s recovery and rehab; Alexis had been one of the consistently pleasant parts of his days. And though he knew the wait had likely driven her a touch crazy; he was glad she gave him the time to narrow down the apartment hunt for her. “Hello darling.” He said with a grin as he returned the hug. Despite her age, she still kissed his cheek and gave the most enthusiastic hugs; she was very much a “Daddy’ Girl” and Elijah was absolutely to blame. He spoiled her, and that would never change.
“Good, just be sure to keep an open mind. I know some might seem a touch large for just two young ladies, but I thought you’d appreciate the privacy each of these offered.” he specifically selected apartments to view that had some space between the bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and weren’t directly connected to a slew of other apartments.

Yes, Alexis was a daddy's girl through and through and she never expected that to change. Not only did he spoil her but she genuinely admired him and enjoyed his company too, perhaps more than she ought to but she never let on to that. Lucky for her, she was finding an outlet for those particular needs so it helped not to feel so...hungry around Elijah.
She nodded with a smile. "I can do that," she could have an open mind. Though in reality she was not at all going to complain about a larger space with more privacy, it was like her dad somehow knew what her and Callie intended to use their apartment for, though in reality she knew if Elijah did know that then he might be less eager to help. Besides, though larger meant more expensive, she wasn't worried. A Vanderson and a Bartlett would have no problem paying the bills with the family money. Unless her father decided to surprise her and demand she get a job and actually help pay for it...
"Let's go! I'm ready!" she couldn't wait to see what he had in store for them today.

While it was true that Elijah hadn’t been the most present father when his children were growing up, he often tried to ‘make up’ for it with gifts and extra shows of affection when he was home. And sure, Price was typically the one he poured a lot of his time into; it was Alexis who was his only perfect little girl. Even with her being nineteen; he still had a difficult time not seeing her as his little blonde princess. She was still his little princess, her gifts had just gotten more expensive. And now that he was around more, he tried his best to be available to his daughter when she needed anything.
Like this apartment hunt. It was a project he enjoyed tackling, especially because he still had a few surprises up his sleeve for her. “Alright. So this first one, it’s actually the entire floor above this little antique shop.” He took her arm in his and guided her to the locked back entrance that led to an elevator and set of stairs. Both would let out to the second floor where the luxury apartment door was. “We can take some protective measures to ensure limited access to this area, that way you don’t have any unexpected visitors, but you shouldn’t have an issues with noise complaints here.” he said as he led her up the stairs and pulled a set of keys from his pocket and handed them to her. “Why don’t you do the honors?” He asked with a raised brow, holding up the door to the staircase so she could get to the apartment door.
