03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
Jack might not get along with his sister very well but that didn't mean that he ought to treat his nephew with any of that same distaste. Angel was not his mother and Jack was determined to give the boy the benefit of the doubt when they had moved back home. In fact, he had decided to take the boy under his wing. Maybe he could even improve the situation and ensure that Angel turned out better. He wasn't used to the life of a Hollifield and Jack was more than up to the task of helping him cope with the transition.
As a senior in the high school, Jack tried to take the time to have meetings with each student of the graduating class. Being from a small town actually made that possible compared to much larger schools. He had an appointment scheduled this afternoon with his nephew and Jack was looking forward to it. "Michelle," he said to his secretary, Michelle Stiles, "When Angel gets here just send him right in." The woman smiled and nodded and Jack sat down behind his desk.

The door to Jack's office creaked open, and in walked Angel, a slightly apprehensive look on his face. His dark hair was tousled, and he wore the typical teenage uniform of jeans and a hoodie.
“Hey Uncle Jack… Sir… What is this about? If you want to talk about my Math grades, I’m aware they suck. But I’m working on it.”
Angel shrugged, taking a seat. "School's different here."
“…Sir.”
His current persona was very different from the laid-back teenager Jack might see at Christmas or family reunions. He started to play with the strings on his hoodie and shake his leg up and down, staring at a stapler on the desk. Everything in his posture screamed “I’d like someone to be gentle with me even though I don’t expect it."

Jack was still getting to know his nephew. His sister had robbed him the opportunity to get to know the kid as he grew up so they were having to start fresh now that Angel was already a teenager. Still, better late than never and Jack truly did value his family. His entire demeanor made Jack curious about what had happened in this kid's life to make him feel so...nervous? Or whatever it was he was feeling.
"No, no, nothing about that. I'm sure you're doing all you can to bring it up so you can graduate," he said with an encouraging smile. "How is school different here? Is there something I can help with you as you readjust here?" he asked before he would move on to the real reason for the meeting.
