03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
It was becoming quite the habit of Darcy’s to hit the bar after work. Regardless of the type of day she had, but that’s what one would expect from an alcoholic. She wasn’t a bad drunk, or anything like that. She just made it very clear she enjoyed drinking. In fact, the alehouse probably saw more of her paycheck than anywhere else in town. And knowing she was off tomorrow; this evening was no different.
She’d run off most of her stress from the day after work, going wolf and just enjoying the feel of her wolf nature taking control. But now, she was thirsty. And the meant frequenting her favorite place in town. Darcy had showered after her run, then put on white halter top, gold choker, and some black leather pants. She had blown out her curls, leaving them looking a bit more tamed. She pulled on her worn looking biker boots and was on her way.
It wasn’t particularly busy just yet, the evening crowd would pick up as more people got off work and out for the evening. Darcy walked up to the bar and took a seat, waiting for the bartender to approach her.
Bex was working. Again. She had been picking up extra shifts lately because, well, she was poor AF and she didn't usually have anywhere else to be. It was typically either working or wandering around the town so she didn't waste her days away inside the motel where she currently resided. Not that she was complaining. Bex was enjoying her time in Sweetwater so far and she loved working at the alehouse. For the first time in a long time she wasn't feeling that immediate itch to get back on the road to find something new.
When Darcy entered and sat down, Bex smiled. The woman had been a regular here since before Bex had even started worked at Harland's and she had to admit that she enjoyed when the woman came in. If nothing else, she was definitely nice to look at. Bex, wearing a black vest that exposed her tattooed arms and loose fitting torn up jeans that hugged low on her hips, walked over to Darcy as she settled in.
"Heya Darcy! What are you in the mood for today?" she asked with a friendly grin.
Darcy’s thoughts were everywhere, but she actually enjoyed the jumbled mess. Kept things entertaining and not quite so boring. Her eyes met Bex’s with a lay full smile as she tapped her fingers on the bar. “Hey Bex, I think I’m going to start with a double shot of whiskey, neat. And go ahead and get me a bottle of Guinness, Black Lager if you’ve got it.” She casually admired Bex’s tattoos and appearance. Bex was by far one of the most attractive bartenders she’d had the pleasure of being served by, she started to wonder if being attractive was a prerequisite for being hired at the ale house. The thought made her chuckle and shake her head slightly as she turned to look around. Trying to decide if she was feeling social, or just wanted to sit at the bar tonight.
Sitting at the bar suited her, especially since it gave her easy opportunity to chit-chat with Bex. She ran a hand through her curls and waited for her drinks.
Bex grinned and nodded as Darcy gave her order. "Sure thing," she said as she turned to grab a bottle of whiskey and a shot glass tall enough for a double. She heard the little chuckle from the woman after a moment and glanced up curiously but only as Darcy was turning around to look at the room around her. She wondered what had made her laugh. Darcy was gorgeous and easily one of Bex's favorite customers. Beyond being hot at hell she just had such a cool vibe.
Once the glass of whiskey was poured she moved to grab the bottle of beer. It took her a second to find one that Darcy wanted and was relieved to find a few bottles of it. She popped the lid off and set both down in front of Darcy. "Here you go, m'lady," she said with a joking tone. "So, any fun plans this weekend?" she asked, deciding it was still slow enough to allow her a moment of conversation.

“You’re a goddess.” Darcy said with a smile as she turned back to the bar and accepted the taller shot glass and downed the shot in one smooth movement, setting the empty glass down and letting out a quick breath as she raised a brow and met Bex’s gaze. “That depends on what one might consider to be a ‘fun’ weekend.” She smirked and gave a playful wink as she took a sip from her beer.
“I’m not working as a park ranger this weekend, but I’m dealing with some…. Family drama. I can decide if I want to let the drama ruin my entire weekend, or handle it on Sunday.” Darcy shook her head and brought the bottle to her lips again before giving a barely audible sigh at the thought. It was wolf pack drama, but the pack WAS her family. At least, the only family she claimed. And as Alpha she should handling the issue promptly, which she would. But it was nice the think she could but it off and just have an enjoyable weekend to herself. She couldn’t remember the last time she had fun just for the sake of having fun.
There was an almost carnal glint in her eyes, the wolf in her wanted to play and have fun. Not necessarily in her wolf form, but it had been a good minute since Darcy had taken time to just do something - or someone - that she wanted to do. “What about you?”
Darcy explained briefly about family drama she had to deal with while Bex ran a clean rag over the bar. "Well, in that case," she said, leaning both elbows on the bar as she offered Darcy an almost mischievous grin. "Definitely wait to handle it til Sunday." No, she didn't know what the issue was at all, but putting off the drama for a little of fun...or at least relaxation, clearly seemed like the winning choice.
There was a look in Darcy's eyes that kept Bex eagerly engaged as the question was returned. "Not sure yet," she said with a little shrug. Moving to lean only one forearm against the bartop, her toned arms naturally flexing in the new position. "I'll probably end up picking up some extra shifts here if I'm being honest." It's what she usually did on her weekends since moving to Sweetwater, taking the weekend shift which paid more and which her coworkers always wanted to take off so they could go and play all weekend.
“I think you’re on to something, I definitely should enjoy my weekend.” Darcy gave a soft chuckles as she shook her head with a smile pulling gently at her lips as she listened to Bex. Oh how eager her wolf side wanted to take over and enjoy the weekend. Not necessarily as a wolf, but more so as the impulsive and fun natured side. Darcy only felt this intensely when they were coming up on the net moon cycle. It felt as if her skin was lit with electricity, everything felt so enjoyable… perhaps that was one of the reasons she indulged in her drinking habits so frequently. That, and her favorite bartender was stunning.
“Oh, so you’re not technically on the schedule?” Darcy’s left eyebrow rose in curiosity as she took another drink of her beer and gave a playful half smile. “Because if you’re not, you should enjoy the weekend with me. I mean, otherwise I might just have to force myself to deal with the family drama.” She gave a wink to indicate she was merely joking about the last part, but she certainly wouldn’t object to getting to spend time with Bex outside of the bar. Though she very quickly realized how pathetic she probably seemed making a pass at her while she’s working.
“That was pretty shitty of me, you’re at work and I’m not trying to put you on the spot or anything. Sorry Bex.” Darcy nearly rushed her response out too quickly that she felt her cheeks burning. Was she seriously BLUSHING right now? What the fuck was wrong with her? She was an Alpha werewolf, she didn’t get nervous and flustered!
Bex was used to being hit on at the bar but it had always been by men before and given her preferences there had never been any appeal. This was the first time it had happened with someone Bex was actually interested in, not to mention attracted to. She smiled as Darcy joked that if she did not then she might have to go and deal with the thing that Bex had just told her adamantly to avoid.
It was as the woman was suddenly apologizing, which Bex found even more charming because none of the men who flirted with her ever bothered to care whether she was working or not, that another patron called out to her to get a drink. She looked up briefly with her charming work smile, "Be right there, Stan," she assured him before turning her attention back to Darcy.
With her forearm still on the bar she leaned in a little more towards the stunning woman. "Well, I can't let that happen then can I?" she said with a returning wink. "Be right back."
With a lingering gaze she finally turned her attention to Stan who wanted his usual, a boring Budweiser beer. She popped the lid of the bottle and slid it across the bar towards him, making sure he was settled before she walked back over to Darcy.
"So, what do you like to do for fun around here anyway," she asked the woman. Bex had only lived in town for half a year. She didn't know how long it had been for Darcy, only that she'd been here before Bex was, so she assumed she might have more suggestions on what they ought to do. "I mean, we have a whole weekend to fill," she added with a playful little smile.
The relief that washed over Darcy as Bex seemed genuinely intrigued by her offer instead of offended, was nearly immediately replaced with excitement at the mere thought of getting to spend time with her outside of her place of work. Darcy didn’t often put herself ‘out there’, so she half expected Bex to laugh at her, but she was glad that wasn’t how it played out! She couldn’t help but smile, and quickly took another drink in an attempt to stave off the blush that was threatening to overpower her face. It didn’t help, but she wasn’t going to fret too much over it. She watched Bex in her work flow, leaning back slightly in her seat at the bar as she gently shook her head, hair swaying with the movement.
Darcy finished off her beer and offered a sheepish smile when Bex returned and asked what she liked to do for fun around here. If Darcy was honest, ever since the move she stayed so busy with work and her pack that she had unknowingly made going to the bar her ‘fun thing to do’. And she was a little embarrassed to admit that, how pathetic would that admission make her look? But lying wasn’t her thing either, so she gave a slight shrug and let out a laugh that sounded more nervous than she intended. Shit!
“So, generally I spend my free time at the bar.” She could feel the heat in her face as a rosy tone overtook her cheeks, she cleared her throat a little and offered an apologetic smile. “Is it bad if I admit that I honestly am a workaholic and spend most of my free time dealing with…. Family drama. Which admittedly is also why I spend the rest of my free time in the local watering hole.” Darcy tried to shake her embarrassment with a chuckle and then shrugged again.
“I don’t know how you feel about art, but there’s a nice gallery. And as a park ranger, I know all the best hiking trails, but I will warn you… something about being fully in nature brings out a bit of a wild side in me.” That was putting it mildly. But then again, it wasn’t often that Darcy found herself interested in someone she had to explain her werewolf nature to. But she was so tired of dealing with bruised egos that tend to happen when dealing with wolves. There was just something about Bex that Darcy couldn’t ignore.
“Oh, there’s also the fairgrounds. I don’t think I’ve gone in all the time I’ve been in town.” Darcy offered with a nod, then softened her smile and gave Bex her full attention as she said “Honestly, I’m down for exploring this town a little better if it means getting to spend a weekend with you… outside of the bar.” She added the last part with a laugh as she knew Bex could attest to many weekends seeing Darcy here.
Out of the corner of her eye, Bex had seen the way Darcy had shaken out her hair. Bex loved her short hair because it was easy, edgy, and wasn't in her way, but Darcy's long hair and curls were...just her type. She very much wanted to know what it felt like to run her fingers through those wild curls.
She thought it was so stinking cute that Darcy was starting to get a little nervous. She had never been before but she had also never had reason to either. Now that they were actually talking about spending some time together...it changed things. Bex could hardly wait. "Well, this is the perfect place to escape all that. I'm certainly not complaining that I've got to see you so often," she added with a little wink. If they were really going to do this then she may as well let herself flirt a little more openly.
She scrunched her nose at the idea of an art gallery. That wasn't really her scene. Too stuffy. The idea of seeing Darcy's 'wild side' though was definitely intriguing and her eyes lit up with a playful sparkle. She had heard about the fairgrounds but hadn't heard there was a fair in town so she wasn't sure what the fairgrounds were currently being used for. But exploring the town also sounded like a lot of fun.
"To be honest, that's a lot more options than I expected you to be able to pull out," she said with a little chuckle. She grabbed another beer and popped off the top before she leaned down on her elbows, getting flirtatiously closer to Darcy as she smiled. Her fingers caressed the edge of the bottle, catching the sweat that was already beginning to form on her fingertips. "How about we say-" she hummed thoughtfully, "the hike on Friday. I'd very much like to see that wild side. And then we spend Saturday exploring Sweetwater? That's three whole restaurants we could try, at the very least. If you can stand me for the whole day I guess." She smirked and slid the beer over to Darcy. "On the house."
Nervousness wasn’t a feeling this Alpha werewolf was accustomed to experiencing. Most of the time she was the one intimidating others, but there was something about Bex that just put Darcy ‘off her game’, so to speak. It was unnerving, but also exciting. It gave Darcy a rush of adrenaline at the unfamiliar feelings. Which in turn, resulted in an uncontrollable blush threatening to overtake her face. But Darcy just pretended not to realize it was even there.
“Naturally, I’ve just always been more comfortable in bars and dive settings. Plus, the company makes it even better.” She gave the gentlest bite to her bottom lips before a smile took her face and she fought off the urge to laugh at herself. She was NEVER this awkward! What was wrong with her? What about Bex caused her to completely forget how to flirt and maintain her cool? Oddly enough, it only intrigued her more to get to know her outside of work and one on one. Bex winking at her only encouraged her mind to wander, not even embarrassed to let herself be seen eyeing Bex up and down. She was most DEFINITELY her type.
As Bex offered an idea of a game plan for how they could spend her weekend off, she couldn’t help but smile and give an approving nod. She took the beer with a smile and winked as she took a drink and rested the bottle back on the counter.
“That actually sounds fantastic. I can show you some of the best hiking trails in our neck of the woods. Plus, a few secret spots only rangers have access too.” Darcy smiled as she enjoyed the proximity to Bex. She was absolutely stunning, and Darcy couldn’t wait for this time spent together. “Oh, I have no doubt I’ll be more than happy to spend an entire day with you. And if you’re not too thrown off by my wild side, I’m sure we’ll have an awesome weekend.”
Darcy had always come off as so confident and even intimating but Bex definitely noticed that spreading blush and felt a bit proud of herself for having accomplished it . Not to mention that it was a very cute on Darcy. She'd definitely never seen her so flustered before and it made her all the more excited for their weekend. It was painful obvious that the two of them were very interested in each other, so there was no use in beating around the bush about it.
She grinned and lifted her brow in interest when Darcy mentioned a few secret spots, that was certainly exciting and intriguing.
"Just promise me one thing?" she asked, having not yet moved away from the woman. "Don't hold back." She tossed the woman another wink and then was called away back to work and with a smile she moved away to assist other customers.
Darcy gave a playful smile to Bex as she tipped back and enjoyed another sip of her beer before quirking her brow and listening to the gorgeous woman before her. She bit her bottom lip as she watched Bex walk away to tend to other patrons and couldn’t help but shake her head a little. Darcy hardly believed she’d be capable of holding back, not when out in nature. Her wolf side had a way of taking over even without her turning. Perhaps it was simply because that was where she felt most at peace with herself.
With that being said, Darcy finished off her beer and scribbled down a few basic notes on where they should meet, what time and of course; her phone number. She had a few things she needed to tend to before she turned in for the night with her pack and didn’t need to be too inebriated for that. She got up from her bar stool and handed Bex the piece of paper with a wink. “No holding back.” She said with her playful grin as she headed back out to her truck.
