03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
It was about noon on her first Saturday in Sweetwater, and Natalie had not seen a single patient yet. She had her favorite black scrubs on and her hair pulled up into a bun. She had opted for minimal make up, she knew that she was pretty enough to pull it off. Not that anyone would notice, since apparently no one in Sweetwater ever needed a doctor. Her recruiter warned her that it was a quiet town, but she thought it was an exaggeration. She was used to the fast pace of the hospital, this was far from that. At least yesterday she was able to put a bandage on an old guy's arm. He didn't even need it. He claimed that a strange bug had bitten him. She had a feeling that he just wanted to check out the new girl in town. So far today, she had managed to clean up the nurses station and file all of the paperwork. Now she had nothing to do but get lost in her thoughts, which was never a good thing. She took a sip of her coffee which had long since went cold. It was probably a good time to take a break and go to the coffee shop to get a fresh one. A temporary change in scenery could be beneficial. However, when Natalie stood up the stack of papers she had been working on went with her. She bent down to pick them up and heard the door open. Of course this would happen to her. She finally had a patient and the first thing they saw was her butt. She really hoped that it wasn't the old guy from yesterday. She could only smile and nod so much before her head would explode. Quickly gathering her papers, she turned to face the doorway. She debated ways that she should greet this person but settled on a sweet smile and light greeting. She placed her papers on the desk and took a confident step forward. "Welcome to Sweetwater Urgent Care. Im Natalie. How can I help you today."
Milo was not having a good start to his weekend. His father was in one of his moods again and with too much alcohol in his system and too much frustration at his research into the supernatural going poorly, he had ended up lashing out a Milo when he found a box of cereal in the pantry that didn't have enough in it for a whole bowl. It was made worse when Charlie discovered they were out of milk. Again.
Milo had got out of the house as fast as he could but he wasn't fast enough and was now sporting a rather deep gash in his forearm. He wrapped it up with a spare shirt he had in the back of his car and drove himself to the urgent care after about an hour when he realized the cut was deeper than he originally thought.
As he parked and went inside he was distracted from his misery for a moment by the view of a rather attractive backside bent over collecting the last of some dropped papers. He returned her greeting smile, almost forgetting his reason for being there before she introduced herself. Natalie."Oh, um- right. I need to get my arm looked at. I think it might need stitches."
He lifted his injured arm which now had spots of blood visible through his now ruined white spare wife beater shirt, his other hand holding it in place.

Natalie looked down at the make shift bandage with blood starting to come through, then back up at him. "I think I can handle that." She gave him a warm comforting smile. He appeared to be in high school but he didnt have a parent with him. He was a cute kid, and she imagined he broke alot of hearts. "We can go into room one, and get you taken care of." She grabbed her clip board and started toward the first examination room. She was hoping that the cut wasnt deep enough to do any real damage. Natalie paused at the doorway and looked back at him seriously. "Am i going to get in trouble for treating you without a parents consent?" Her head tilted slightly as she waited for his reply. She had a feeling that the answer would be no, since he had driven himself there, but she had to be safe and ask. The last thing she needed with some helicopter mom coming in and giving her and ear beating for stitching the kid up.
She was...really pretty. It was a rather good distraction actually from the pain in his arm and Milo followed after her like a puppy waddling after it's owner. Her smile was so sweet and the way her hips moved as she walked was as if she was teasing him on purpose. He logically knew that wasn't true but he was enjoying the fantasy of it. He was a good looking guy after all...and that patient/nurse fantasy was definitely being sparked at the moment.
When she paused though and her expression turned serious he halted in his steps, fearing she had somehow read his mind. Instead she was asking about his parents and he, like the teenager he was, bristled at the question that made him feel like less than an adult. But he also realized that this was a great opportunity to point out to her that he was technically a viable option. "I'm eighteen," he said with a small hint of pride in his tone. Technically an adult. Even if he was still in high school. "And no one is gonna follow me here."

At the change of his tone, she couldn't help but smile. He was cute for sure and if she was still in high school he would definitely be her type. "I guess that you can sign your own paperwork then." She moved further into the room to place her clip board down on the counter. She wasn't sure how to take his comment about no one following him there. For a moment she felt a bit of sadness for the kid. Even if his parents weren't that great, didn't he at least have a girl friend. Not that she should be thinking about that. And she definitely should not have felt jealous of this possible non existent girlfriend.
She pushed her stool next to the examining table before sitting on down. She then patted the table and smiled up at him. "Sit here so i can see what is going on under your shirt bandage." She pulled a pair of gloves out of her pocket and put them on as she waited for him to approach. She wasnt sure how much she should ask about his injury. Or even if he would tell her the truth about what happened. He seemed nice enough however, if she was even a little attracted to him, he was definitely a bad boy type.
Yes. He could sign his own paperwork. Honestly it felt pretty cool to be able to do that. Not that he was about to actually say that out loud. He didn't need anyone. His stupid father could go to hell. Maybe he could sign the paperwork on his own place soon...if he could afford it. Now that he was thinking about it he decided he might as well start to look into it. There was guilt there too though. He may not get along with his old man but would his father even be okay without Milo there to pick up the slack?
He sat down on the table as she had asked and carefully removed the now bloodstained shirt. There was a long gash along the top of his arm from nearly his elbow to his wrist. "I, uh, dropped a beer bottle and then fell on top of it. Like an idiot." It wasn't a total lie. It had been caused by the glass of a broken beer bottle.

Natalie nodded as he told her his version of what happened to his arm. She had her doubts about the validity, but it wasnt her job to investigate. "This may hurt a little." she informed him before pouring saline on the wound. She hadnt thought about the mess it would make and ended up with blood tinged saline all over the floor. She would clean it up later though. She dabbed a piece of gauze against his arm to soak up some of the fluid. "I think you were right about needing stitches." She looked up from her work to study his face. "Are you okay? You aren't going to pass out on me are you?"
To be fair, she did warn him that it would hurt, but he hadn't expected it to hurt that much. He refused to make a noise, though he certainly wanted to. He had to look touch for the hot nurse after all. So instead he clamped his jaw shut tightly as the muscles there bulged a but, fighting back the urge to groan.
He wasn't surprised he'd been right about the stitches but it did make him more angry about the whole situation. How much longer could he realistically live at home if he was going to keep ending up at the urgent care. "Not in the slightest," he replied with as charming of a smile as he could muster given the ache in his arm. "Bring it on, Nurse Natalie."

She looked up from his arm and gave him a smile. He was cute. "Okay, Im just going to numb the area with some topical anesthetic." Natalie applied cream to the skin around the wound. "You may still feel a few pinches." she added before getting her needle ready. " How many times have to had stitches before? You are taking it like a pro." Guiding her needle into his skin, she bit her bottom lip softly. It was a habit she had while trying to concentrate. She finished the stiches and applied antibiotic ointment and a dressing. "There, good as new." She met his eyes with a soft smile.
The numbing sensation was a relief even if it didn't take away all of the pain. He gave a shrug with his free arm at her question. "I lost count," he said as if it was the most casual thing in the world. "I've always been clumsy," he added as he realized how bad it might sound otherwise. He watched as she did the first stitch and then turned his attention to the nurse instead. The cute way she bit on her lip as she worked intently was driving him wild as he imagined her biting her lip in an entirely different environment.
Soon enough though she had finished and he was all wrapped up. "The least painful stitches I've ever had. You're very skilled," he said with a flattering grin. And hot. But he kept that part to himself. "Thanks for your help."

At his compliment, Natalie's smile grew brighter. She loved positive attention and complimenting her work was a super plus. "I'm glad that it wasnt too traumatizing for you." She said softly as she stood up from her stool and began cleaning up her mess. "If your bandage gets dirty or falls off, you can come back and I can replace it." Once she was satisfied the puddle of saline was sufficiently cleaned and no one would slip, Natalie stood in the doorway and again met his eyes. " My shift doesnt end until 5 and if I dont get coffee soon, I could possibly bite someone. Is the place next door okay?" She had decided to forget about the paperwork. Some things were better left off of the record.
Milo honestly considered that he might intentionally get the bandage dirty just to have the chance to come back and see the pretty nurse again but as he stood to leave a different opportunity opened up to him.
He chuckled at her comment. "I mean, I don't mind a little biting, but I suppose not all of your patients would agree," he said flirtatiously before he could stop himself. "The Nook is better but that's less convenient. The place next door isn't so bad. I could...join you if you like," he suggested with a grin, resisting the urge to lean over her against the door frame. This was not the time or the place for such an intimate action.

Natalie was taken by surprise by his response. Was he flirting with her? She studied his eyes for a moment before letting a smile curve on her lips. "I may get a bad reputation if I start biting people."
Natalie made a mental note to check out the nook. The place next door would do for now. She was starting to have caffeine withdrawals. "I suppose it would be okay if we went together. I would actually enjoy the company." She gave him a smile before walking to the nurses station and grabbing her wallet. Somewhere in the back of her head, she knew this was probably a bad idea. However, he was cute and giving her attention, so she would go with it. She stopped at the entrance door and waited for him to join her.
Yes, his teenage brain was getting all sorts of ideas as he thought about her biting him...and how he'd bite her back. It was instantly a distraction from the pain in his arm. When she actually agreed to let him tag along, it lifted his spirits even further. Walking with more of a confident swagger now he followed her to the door and they stepped outside in the sweet spring air.
When the reached the coffee place right next door, he acted the gentleman and held the door open for her. "Ladies first," he said with a grin.

Natalie followed him to the coffee shop and walked through the door that he held open. " Such a gentlemen." She smiled and tucked a loose piece of hair behind her ear. She would have to redo her messy bun at some point soon. She walked towards the counter but not close enough to alert the barista that she wanted to order. She studied the black board behind the counter with the menu written in chalk. She thought it was so creative and cute.
Her eyes settled on the sandwich menu. She did say coffee, but her stomach was ready to eat itself. She turned to face Milo and looked up at him. " Are you hungry?" she asked, not really wanting to eat alone.
