03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
This is a low effort plotter. You can read Margrets app here.
There is a Margret of the past and a Margret of the present. Past Margret is a touch on the cavalier side with a strong wild streak. She's likely to have party friends, misfits, druggies, the less favorable dredges of society in her book of confidant's. She probably has an impressive amount of enemies, and she might have even bullied a few. Her confidence was prosperous and self reflection minimal. Usually she just did whatever she wanted, because she wanted to, and because no one (see also: her parents) really told her no. And for those that did tell her no are the ones who are likely to have seen the worst of her. Adults, teachers, maybe even some fellow students could come to understand her as a nuisance or a valuable ally.
And then she spent a year in rehab and life seemed to catch up with her.
Margret of the present can still be as headstrong as ever but she lacks the same unreserved sparkle. She's more careful now and if you catch her unaware she can even be a tad jumpy. At her best she's distant, air headed, distracted and at her worst she barely leaves her room.
She's a newly turned vampire and has been struggling with her transformation. She is not in great control of her bloodlust nor the actuality of her own immortality.
Plot Hooks - Old Friends - Old Enemies - Whoever turned her (can be discussed via discord) - Vamp buddies - Living Bloodbanks

I've been debating really heavily with how Beau and Margret would interact, but honestly the more I think about it, I think he would have liked her back in the day. Or, in the very least, admired her and maybe purposely went out of his way to bother her. Like, if she didn't like him, he'd show up out of nowhere anyway and be like, "hey, what're you doing? I'm coming with you." Though, not nearly as nice.
However, I think he'd just think she's boring now. He'd recognize something's wrong but he's not the most sympathetic person. She was once interesting to watch and now she's not, so he doesn't bother.
I think a lot of it would have to come down to how She felt about Him, which tends to work in extremes for Beau. If they were friends, he'd probably still go out of his way from time to time, if she openly mocked him, he'd probably kick her while she's down.
@beau maybe a little bit of both? maybe something a lil complex. I think really teenage friendships can be a little bit of a weird fucked dynamic. maybe they get on well at a superficial level but Margret would make small digs at Beau simply for the fact that she likes to be top of the social hierarchy and is very much of the 'my way or the high way' mind set. Beau seems like the opportunistic type so I can see some friction there if their interests are not aligned.

Hey Margie--don't care whether you like that name or not--remember how many times we hooked up at parties? You're crazy as shit and I love it. The drugs they have you on make you a real doozy but that doesn't mean you're totally off my radar (or that I won't take some with you if you're willing to share). Text me sometime and maybe we can get together...as friends? Old flames? You pick, I'll take any title you give me as long as there's a "with benefits" at the end of it. - Price
I definitely think that Margret and Milo would have got along really well in the past. He is definitely the party-going, misfit, druggy, dredges of society kind of guy and I can see Milo haven't looked for her at parties they went to and can see them getting high together and maybe making out or something a couple of times when they were high or drunk.
I think he'd be bummed that she's changed so much but I don't know that they were close enough friends outside of the parties for him to have reached out once she got back. If he saw her at party though, he'd definitely approach her again. What do you think?
I imagine past Margret probably would probably have seen Ida as a target. Ida's a misfit, but she doesn't wear it well. She's not cool or chic - honestly she's a little bit of a rough country bumpkin at times. Ida is easy to rile up and set off, which makes her a prime person to bully. Just pull the pin and watch the grenade explode.
Even though Margaret's different now, Ida is someone who holds a grudge, and would have a really hard time letting go of her anger. She's not a forgive and forget type, even if it's the right thing to do. Maybe an interesting reversal to play with there? The formerly bullied (Ida) becomes a little bit of a bully herself by holding Margaret's past behavior against her now. Interested to hear your thoughts!
Price Vanderson my toes curled reading this oh geez. Margret is very gay but I think it might have taken her some time to figure that out. it's definitely something she knows extremely well about herself at this point, but maybe in the past she screwed around a little bit, isn't very thoughtful in communicating that to others (or maybe feels like it's none of their business), and maybe just now tries to avoid Price lmao. I don't think she would go out of her way to text him unless she wanted something from him BUT if they were to run into each other at a party or something it could be interesting. she would be very matter of fact with letting him know exactly where he stands.
Milo Laurent I love the idea of Milo being one of those friends that's sort of lost to the past. I don't see the 2 of them being particularly emotionally close since Margret tends to only open up to a very select few. They could have definitely bonded over music since Margret's also big into metal, maybe share underground albums when she first moved into town, maybe go to some shows together? Like I stated above she is gay but I think in the past she wasn't really sure about her sexuality so a brief hookup is possible. I honestly feel like ultimately the two of them were very similar people. It might make Margret kind of sad to be around Milo now and if she ran into him she might let it be known. Kind of like looking at an old photograph, if that makes sense?
@ida I love everything about this. Margret was definitely harshly judgmental in the past and probably just would have thought of Ida as kind of a dork, maybe even suspected her of being a bit of a narc. overall, not trust her, probably a little bit of a 'you can't sit with us' mean girls attitude. Margret previously could very much be like that for no real good reason. Very bratty when she wanted to be.
I also love the idea of Ida bullying her back now. I think it Margret right now is still trying to regain her footing, doesn't have much that temper or doesn't feel particularly comfortable (deep down, she's still sort of questioning if this is real or if she's in her own finely curated version of hell) but I think as she becomes more comfortable that sharpness might return. It could be a lot of fun to see things come to a head between these two.
