He attends SWCC and is a drummer in a band with Zane Bateman. He also works at the Irwin Farm as a horse trainer, having been raised on a farm in Savannah, Georgia. He has a soft southern twang that becomes more pronounced when he's been drinking. He is fun guy to be around and loves a good, loud party with lots of people to hit on and is a great make out buddy. He can be loud and boisterous, not shy to draw attention to himself. He's been living life a little more recklessly in the year since coming to Sweetwater, finally feeling free to explore what it's like to be himself without the control of his family, especially his father, hanging over his head. Habits: Drumming with his fingers or anything he has in his hands even when not at his drums, playing with his mouth in various ways and often having something he's playing with in his mouth (toothpicks, gum, floss sticks), and pulling out his inhaler periodically Enjoys: Loud music, photography, coffee, anything sweet, parties, flirting, horses Weaknesses: Unable to express his feelings, sloppy housekeeper, asthma and allergies to nuts/peanuts, pretty faces, distaste for organized religion [attr="class","crcmain"] [attr="class","crcp"] [attr="class","crcn"]THE GOOD [attr="class","crct"] Brooks is a pretty easy guy to get along with. He's lively at parties and is old enough to provide the booze, which makes his fairly popular among the younger college population. He's also in a band, which gives him an automatic 'cool' boost. He's respectful to adults and peers (though he can toe the line a little when flirting sometimes). He especially gets along with people who like music, especially fans of the band, or those who have other shared interests. He gets along with most people so it's not hard to get on his good side. RELATIONSHIPS: [attr="class","crcmain"] [attr="class","crcp"] [attr="class","crcn"]THE BAD [attr="class","crct"] People who would be most likely to have issues with Brooks would be those who are distrustful of newcomers to town, people who are preachy with their religious beliefs (as he has a distaste for organized religion), or those who didn't like his party lifestyle. He gets to be his most loud and boisterous specifically during parties which might come across as intimidating to some of the more shy personalities. Outside of parting he's not usually 'loud' but he can be a bit obnoxious with his near constant drumming and tapping. He has no problem with flirting basically any time and anywhere and it's certainly possible that some girls might not like him because of that. He is an awesome make out buddy and enjoys getting handsy but tends to hold back on going too much further due to the lessons pounded into him as a child, even though he disagrees with those teachings. Not that he's never done it, it's just more rare. So it wouldn't be uncommon to have connections with him as someone whose made out with him at party. He's also secretly bicurious and has maybe been caught looking at handsome guy for a little too long but hasn't really explored this yet, again, due to his upbringing and how taboo anything other than being heterosexual was for his parents. He's curious but nervous about exploring that curiosity. So on paper, I think Marius is everything that would put Brooks off. Pretty religious, super straight laced, shy, academic pretty-boy type. I’m sure Marius would find him to be overly loud, too much of a party animal, and might write him off as just another vapid so and so. But...Marius is struggling with his sexuality, in small part due to his religious upbringing (even though the church is still a major and treasured part of his life). Maybe Marius would have an opposites attract/live dangerously secret crush on Brooks? A weird sexual attraction that Marius is afraid of and doesn’t know what to do with. Whatever Brooks wants to do with that, well, it would be entirely up to him.
