03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
His cross-country trip had taken him a bit longer than he has planned, though that was due more in part to his detours with pretty eyes or smiles. But eventually, Jasper made it to Sweetwater, Colorado. And after stopping for a meal at a little diner called Rosie’s; he had gotten directions to Purgatory. It was a Thursday afternoon, but he had a feeling his sister was working. And what better way to truly surprise her than to show up at the bar she was working in?
Okay, so she might not be thrilled he didn’t tell her he was coming into town, but he didn’t want her to be waiting on him. Not when he liked to stop for fun on the way. So, after finishing up with a meal from Rosie’s, as well as a phone number from a cute server; he was parking his 88’ Ford Bronco outside of Purgatory. Despite the miles he raked up on it, he worked hard to keep the vehicle running and looking nice. He stepped out of the vehicle and tossed the flannel back in the passenger seat, locking the vehicle and running a hand through his red hair.
A white t-shirt hugged his torso, dark wash jeans and a pair of tan boots were what he decided on, flashing a smile to a group outside the bar as he walked in. He glanced in the direction of the bar as his dark eyes adjusted from having been outside in the afternoon sun. He walked slowly up toward the bar where a very familiar looking female had her back turned to him. She looked to be counting or something. Jasper grinned as he tapped the counter. “Hey, got any local favorites you’d recommend?” He deep voice was likely not going to be immediately recognized, but he knew as soon as she turned around she’d hopefully be excited to see him.
It wasn't too busy yet at Purgatory as it was still early in the day. It was mostly regulars who currently sat at their favorite spots, ordering the same things for the hundredth time. Bex could never understand the concept. She liked to move around and keep things fresh and exciting. The idea of going to the same location day after day eating the same thing day after day felt like it would feel like a never-ending prison of sameness and monotony.
Bex was going through the till to make sure that all the number were adding up like they were supposed to when someone tapped the counter to get her attention and asked about local favorites. "Yeah, one second," she said without taking her eyes from her task, not wanting to lose count. She didn't recognize the voice but even if she had she would have assumed she was just homesick or something. There was no way that anyone she knew would be here right now.
When she finished a couple seconds later she took down the final number on a notepad and closed the register drawer as she turned to face the new patron. "Hello, welcome to-" The question he had asked was entirely forgotten the moment she looked into his face. "J-Jasper!?" she said, eyes wide and mouth parted in shock. "What- what are you-? Oh my god! Hi!!" she hurriedly moved out behind the bar and crashed into her little brother with a bear hug. She couldn't believe he was really here!
"What are you doing here!?!" she asked without letting him go. She almost didn't realize how much she had missed him until this moment and tears stung the back of her eyes.

Watching his sister in her element and hard at work was rather unique, especially since it had been years since he’d seen her in person. He couldn’t help but smile in anticipation for her reaction, knowing she couldn’t have had any idea about him planning on surprising her like this. It was going to be so nice spending time with his big sister again. God, he had missed her.
So when she finally turned to face him, Jasper couldn’t help the wide smile that spread at her surprise. “Well, hey sis!” He managed out with a chuckle as she quickly found her way out from behind the bar and gave him probably one of the tightest bear hugs he had ever received. “Woah, it’s almost like you’ve missed me!” He couldn’t help but wrap her up in a tight hug. He might have been the ‘little brother’, but he was definitely taller than her. Even if only by about four inches.
“Well, I’ve been traveling around some myself and I thought; why not come see my favorite sister.” Jasper teased with a shake of his head, content to let her hug him as long as she needed to. Especially when he clearly visited her new place of work to spend time with her. “So, how’ve you been Bex?”
