03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?

Ferris was relieved that Brooks seemed so enthusiastic. Brooks exuded the passion and excitement about music that the firefighter only felt deep down. Like he was afraid to share it so much beyond simply expressing the words. "Happens. My work week doesn't change for holidays though," he said of holidays and visiting family. He wasn't allowed home and had no interest in pretending as much. But sometimes he did miss seeing his sister's family. "Maybe after new year sometime?" He made a note to get the guy's number before he left.
He looked over the stalls for a bit while Brooks finished up with the mare and then followed him to meet some of the other horses. Both Ernie and Rose seemed before for some of the younger inexperienced riders. He reached out a hand to Rose to provide her some of her much-wanted attention in the form of scratches. "These two will work," he said with a nod, glancing at his watch. Just close enough to take their time brushing both horses and getting them ready, plus a chance for him to ride each for a moment and get to know them a bit better. "You have a preference on which you want to brush out?"

"Ya! After the new year would be perfect!" Was that too enthusiastic? Maybe he should dial it back a bit but it was hard when he was both genuinely excited to play music and to play with Ferris. Honestly, how cool was this jam session going to be!?
He grinned as Ferris agreed to both horses. "Not at all, why don't you take Rose since you're right there?" he suggested and moved over to Ernie with a halter and a lead. Soon both horses were facing each other as Brooks ran the brush over Ernie's shoulders. The gelding almost seemed tired as he stood lazily, one of his back hooves propped up as if resting his hips. "Rose gets a little ticklish under her tail, just so you have a heads up," he said to Ferris with a little wink. He'd hate for him to accidently get kicked or pushed over.

The younger man's enthusiasm was refreshing and he was glad to hear him agree. He'd have to find some time on a day off when he wasn't plowing to make that happen. As much as he practiced a few times a week solo, it had been a long, long time since he played with anyone else. Or for anyone else to hear really, besides Darcy.
Ferris retrieved the mare's halter and took her out while Brooks saw to the gelding. It was a nice change of pace, to let muscle memory and real memories resurface on how caring for horses worked. He missed the care that went into this sort of work and enjoyed chatting to Brooks and hearing what he had to say about the other horses, the equestrian center, and himself in general. Before he took Rose on a few laps of the small outdoor arena so he could get to know her and she could get to know him, Ferris made sure to exchange numbers with Brooks, to make sure they could make a jam session happen soon.
