Alexis was elated that Calliope agreed, because in her current state of mind her saying it 'wasn't a bad idea' was just as good as if she'd said 'yes! let's do it!'. "Right?!" She said enthusiastically, "It's a great idea!" She giggled and imagined what it would be like to live outside her family home, to have a place of her own, and to share it with someone she clearly should have been friends with for a long time already. Who knew they'd get along as well as they were right now?
She remained enthusiastic at the suggestion that Alexis show her the true perks of being part of a founding family. "Oh girl, I'll definitely show the ropes. We are going to have so. much. fun!!!" She had half a mind to get started right now but even she realized how late it was getting. This was supposed to be wind down after the party time. Not wind up for more fun. If she got started anew right now then she wouldn't be home until daybreak at least.

“I mean, it’s not like we couldn’t still visit family… and the added pricacy would be an absolute bonus.” Callie couldn’t believe she was actually a fan of the idea. And the more she mulled it over, the more sense it made. And she didn’t hate it. Plus, she liked the idea of being friends with Alexis. She was way different than she ever expected, and it almost made her mad that she’d spent so much time intimidated by the idea of getting to know her. “I mean, we should probably think things over and see if your sober mind agrees… but what the hell; I’m ready for something new.” Perhaps it was simply the season of change in her life, but Callie was tired of feeling like she had no say in things and she wanted to actually live a life she loved. Not everything in secret or hiding. Though, she’d keep a few secrets to herself.
She couldn’t help but laugh and shake her head at Alexis’ enthusiastic response. But also found herself pulled into a big yawn, covering her mouth with her hands before shaking her head again. “I’m definitely looking forward to it.” Callie said with a grin as she looked around and noticed the crowd was beginning to disperse as the teens and young adults started to wind down. “Do you have a ride home? I’m playing taxi driver for a few friends, and it looks like they’re getting ready to go.”

Alexis had never know one of her friends to start looking for an apartment before they even graduated from high school but Alexis wasn't like her other friends. In this case, specifically in the funds she had available to her. She didn't need to work to earn enough money to move out, she could just ride on the money she got from mommy and daddy. So why not use that to get a place with Callie? It wasn't like she was going to live with a boyfriend or something. She clapped her hands excitedly when Callie expressed real interest. "Oh good! Me too," she said with a bright smile.
At Callie's question of a ride she turned to look over at the friends she'd come with to find they were actually waving her over. She held up her index finger to tell them to wait a moment. "I do have a ride, but give me your phone and I'll put my number in it. Text me tomorrow and we'll make a plan," she said, holding out her hand expectantly for Callie's phone.

The more she considered the idea, the more she was sold on it. Honestly, she wasn’t even worried about whether or not they’d struggle as roomies. Because even if they had issues, let’s face it; both girls were from families that were very well off and it wasn’t like they didn’t have places to go back to. Plus, Callie knew even if her parents were skeptical, her dad would cave the second he heard the Vanderson name.
She nodded with a smile and fished her phone from her back pocket, unlocking and handing the device to Alexis. “Sounds like a plan girl, I’ll try not to message too early tomorrow. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to rest!” Callie laughed slightly, shaking her head as she nodded to the friends who were waving her back to their ride. She had the keys, so it’s not like they could go anywhere without her.

Alexis grinned and added her number into Callie's contacts. She then a quick text to herself from Callie's phone so that she would have the girl's number too before she handed it back. She laughed at the comment, glad she wasn't going to get a 7 am wake up text or something. "Sounds great," she said with a little wink.
She then gave Callie a tight little squeeze before she bounced back to her friends who ushered her into the backseat of one of their friend's ride. Alexis tossed a wave out to Callie from the rolled down back window as they drove away.

Callie gave a smile as she returned the squeeze and waved goodbye to Alexis as she tucked her phone into her pocket and headed to the car where her friends were waiting. Callie made sure everyone was buckled in before she started the car and drove to drop off each friend safely home from their night of partying.
