03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
If there was anything worse than blacking out from drinking, it was greening out, and then blacking out. Hunter wasn’t a stranger to either, but this time he had really done himself in. He woke up in some random girls apartment, vomit on the floor next to him, and a couple other people passed out on the floor. Getting up had taken a toll, causing him to retch once more, not caring that it was on the carpet, or that she would probably be pissed when she found it. He just needed to get the hell out of the apartment that reeked of weed, piss and vomit and into the clear morning air.
The morning sun greeted him, a blinding light causing him to squint against it, and once again empty what remained in his stomach. He needed coffee, and lots of it. And food.
He opted to make his way to Munchies instead of Rosies’ figuring he had a better chance there to not run into his sister who was more than likely on the warpath. Rubbing his eyes, he groaned at his own stench, but couldn’t face going home right now, feeling and more than likely, looking like death. First he’d get some coffee, and a burger, then he would face his sister.
Pushing the door open with his shoulder, Hunter made his way to a booth and slid in, placing his head in his hands, and grunted a response when the wait staff suggested coffee. The dim of the fluorescent lights was harsh, and the overwhelming smell of grease turned his stomach, but he was able to swallow down the bile. The waitress set the coffee on the table, and set a menu down, Hunter muttering thanks as he took a sip, before crossing his arms on the table and dropping his head on his forearms. Ugh.
It was Saturday, no school. Thank goodness. Blair loved her social life but wasn't a big fan of school itself. It was not a common occurrence to find Blair in this part of town so early in the day but her Daddy loved the breakfast burgers from Munchies and she had decided to surprise him this morning before he woke up. She drove his car, a beautiful red convertible, and parked at Munchies.
Despite being so early, Blair looked perfect. Her hair and makeup were done and fresh and she walked with a pep in her step. She entered the restaurant with her purse over her shoulder.
A large man who was just leaving bumped into her and and knocked the bag off her shoulder and tumbling to the floor, it's contents spread out and she groaned. She gave the man a nasty look but he didn't even bother looking back and Blair crouched down to collect her things.
Lip stick, a mirror, fingernail clippers, her school ID, a variety of colored pens, even a little pink bullet vibrator. Her wallet had at least remained safely inside the bag.
Despite his throbbing head, the commotion at the door of the burger joint peaked his interest. With one eye closed against the harsh lights, he turned in his seat to investigate, and smirked. The dark blonde perfectly done hair gave her away, Hunter instantly recognizing her. his blue eyes scanned the contents of her purse strewn across the floor and cocked an eyebrow at the vibrator. Who carries a vibrator in their purse? Maybe it was a girl thing, but either way it was weird.
“I like the view of you down near the floor, princess.” He coughed out, his lungs angry with him from the amount of smoke he inhaled last night. He thought about getting up to help her, but decided against it. There was something magical about seeing the wealthy girl picking up her own stuff off the grimy floor. “Make sure you don't break a nail.” He quipped once more, before chuckling and turning back to his coffee. Suddenly, his hangover didn’t feel so bad.
Blair snatched the little bullet vibrator first but it was already like to late for it to go unnoticed. She certainly wasn't going to be using that one again. She'd just dump it and buy a new one. At the sound of disgusting morning voice Blair glanced up to see @hunter. She knew who he was. Everyone did in this small town.
Hunter was the good-for-nothing drop-out who was too stupid and near sighted to see the repercussions of what it would really mean to have not graduated from high school. He was the epitome of a loser and Blair scrunched her nose at the sight of him. He didn't bother to help and she honestly would have been surprised if he had. "I'm sure you do." She replied in a sneering tone at his comment about liking the view.
She quickly gathered her things and stood once more, brushing a stray piece of her hair away from her face. "Asshole." She murmured half under her breath, though not really trying to hide her words, as she moved to the counter to order.
A wide grin answered her sneer, unfazed by her stuck -up attitude. He royally disliked girls like her, but it was so easy to get under their skin. Apparently living a life of privilege did nothing to give them a back bone. He loved watched them squirm under his gaze, as if just looking at them was an insult against them and their families.
"Hey now, there's not reason to be rude Blair. Sheesh, learn to take a damn joke. It's not a dick, don't take it so hard." He snarled back at her comment. He hated being called an asshole, it was almost as bad as being called 'son'. One he heard from his dad almost everyday of his childhood, the other not so much. Flipping her off as she turned towards the counter, he downed the last dregs of his first coffee and then slid out of the booth and up beside her. "Let's forget about all that nasty business, hey? Join me for a meal, I can even be the one to pay." Winking at her with his bloodshot eyes, Hunter was feeling much livelier now that there was caffeine in his system. "Or are you to good to hang out with the trailer trash?" Biting his bottom lip, he let his gaze wander over her body before finding her face once more.
While her back was turned to him she bit back a smile at his retort about not taking it so hard. She wanted to be mad but it was a pretty dang good comeback. She'd have to tuck that one into her arsenal to use later. She hadn't expected him to actually approach her and as he did she got small goosebumps on the back of her neck.
He was exactly the kind of bad boy that made her feel nervous yet excited. What was it about bad boys? What value did he really have? "Can you?" She tossed back at him when he said he could pay. She didn't really believe him. She had nothing personally against people who lived in the trailers. After all, before their falling out her best friend had been MJ and she had lived there.
She took another step forward as the line moved. She hadn't said no yet.
Slipping his hands into the back pockets of his jeans, Hunter whistled slightly, as she snapped at him. It wasn't often that he had money, but a good deal on some weed had left him with enough money to get him through the week if he was smart. It was surprising he had any left over after last night, but apparently drunk Hunter was more fiscally responsible than sober Hunter. He moved with her, trying to think of something witty to say, but came up empty. "Yes, I can pay." He said back in a mocking tone. Man he hated girls like her. "Wouldn't want daddy's money to pay for a lowlifes' food like me."
It took Hunter a moment to reply and Blair bit back a grin as she faced forward. He answered her, putting her down but Blair wasn't so easily bothered. She had plenty of money to cover the meal, it was true. "You're the one who offered." She replied blatantly.
She then turned to look back at him. "And you don't know me. You don't know what I will or won't spend 'daddy's money' on." She said again. She looked at him for a long moment before speaking again. "Fine, I'll join you for a meal." She agreed.
He couldn’t help but wonder if it was his presence that made her so hostile, as if him just being near her was an insult to her family. For all he knew, it was. He couldn’t find it in himself to care though. It wasn’t worth the headache caring what every prissy little bitch like her thought of him. Hunter made a stupid face at her comment, but it quickly dissolved as she turned to face him. Pulling the bottom right half of his inner lip between his teeth, he stared at her blankly as she unloaded on him for the second time. Girl has serious issues.
“No, I don’t know you.” He shrugged, drawing his hand out of his pocket and through his messy mop of red hair. “But, you don’t know me either, princess.” He added, all humour gone from his face. He royally hated being judged, and maybe it was his hangover, but Blair was getting under his skin. “Are you sure? Won’t the town gossip about you hanging out with a loser like me?” He snarled back at her, his head beginning to roar with pain once more.
