03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
West was holed up on the second story of the Nook, plopped comfortably in one of the big reading armchairs, sneakers up on the coffee table, a book in his hands. He’d picked the chair in the far corner, with its back to the landing and a shelf of stock in between, so no one would bother him. He was less and less worried about getting caught hanging out here, now that he wasn’t in school and most of his friends weren’t apt to wander in here.
He’d picked up Fahrenheit 541 today, flipping through it as he finished a half hot chocolate, half coffee. He remembered reading some other Bradbury crap in school and had finished a different one for his college reading course and actually really enjoyed it. He figured he would try some others. The strange firefighter vibe was different.
Besides the book burning, it had given him another job idea. Maybe he would enjoy something more active over his desk job at the gallery. Firefighting didn’t seem all that difficult. Most of the time. But he also wasn’t the super physical sort so…maybe it was a bad pull. Certainly, he wasn’t cut out to be a police officer.
Okay, so probably it was a terrible idea. He’d stick to the desk job and video games.
West set down the book and stretched, pulling out his phone to check the time. Early on a weekend, which was another good bet why he doubted he’d see anyone his age. He picked up his paper cup and downed the rest of the drink.
