General personality: Jack is the kind of guy who will do anything to get the right shot. He has the desire to be a journalist as well, specifically in relation to the supernatural things that happen in town, but his writing isn't quite good enough yet to get the job. He's friendly but a little nerdy. He feels much more at ease with his camera in hand, 'hiding' behind the lens. However, he's a nice guy and is happy to have the chance to do any freelance work for any sort of miscellaneous photography needs.

He is also a bit compulsive in his need for things to be just right. This ranges from getting the perfect photo, to keeping things organized in his house. A place for everything and everything in it's place. He doesn't have an issue getting dirty when the situation calls for it, he grew up on a farm after all. It's more about keeping those areas of his life separate and where they should be.

Family Members: Henry Hayes [Father- in Sweetwater], Beth Hayes [Mother- Not in Sweetwater], Brother [age 30], Sister [Age 26]

General History: Jack was born to Henry and Beth Hayes in Morgan, Utah. They lived a simple life as farmers, but Beth had a hard time. When Jack was 9 Beth was diagnosed with some sort of mental health issue. Jack didn't understand at the time, and avoids talking about it now. Beth had issues with knowing what was real and what wasn't and when Jack was 10 she tried to smother him with a pillow in his sleep. She would have succeeded too if his father hadn't walked by his open bedroom room and saw what was happening.

Beth was sent away to live in a mental institution and Henry, wanting a fresh start for his children, decided to move. They ended up in Sweetwater. That was 20 years ago. Jack was 14 at the time, his brother was 10 and his sister was 6. Henry bought a small piece of land which they began to till and farm. All the children were expected to pitch in and help with the work when they weren't at school.

Jack started high school in Sweetwater, it was a challenging time for sure and Jack was a bit of a loner for a while. He has always been fascinated by all things supernatural, using it as a way to escape in his head into worlds of fantasy. It was much to his delight that those sorts of things started happening in Sweetwater right around the time that he first came to town. He also got into photography in high school, finding joy in the hobby. He soon became determined to photograph something supernatural. This is still his goal.

During high school he did have a small group of friends but it wasn't until after high school that he came into himself. He eventually got a job at the Sweetwater Tribune as a photographer and picked up odd jobs for any photography needs in town. Everything from family photos, to yearly school photos, to advertising photos for businesses and everything in between. He also grew into his looks and found girls much more interested than they had been when he was in high school. He's been a few relationships but nothing yet that has lasted long term.

His still helps his father on the farm during busy season when he can but he moved out in his 20s and found the cheapest residency he could which was in Sunny Heights. He is also trying to work up to being a journalist for the Tribune as well.
