03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
Tristan left the Nook and Gemma Tramell, walking toward the edges of town. He stopped a passerby to ask for directions to the auto-shop, which they gave easily enough considering he had the look and charisma of someone who's car had broken down on the side of the road and he had gotten lost trying to look for help.
It took some time to make it there on foot, but he arrived a couple hours later in the day, around noon. Tristan could tell there was not just the one werewolf he had been informed of, but quite a few werewolves that frequented the mechanic's shop. And from both packs. That was interesting, if they all worked here together. He was only more curious about pack politics. The shop itself looked like any other mechanics he had seen. Vehicles in the garages, a bit of movement within, most of the doors open though a few were closed to the cold. There were a few other cars and a motorcycle parked on the side and more vehicles out front in various states of repair. It was a mixed bag of spare parts, pending repair, and who knew what else.
The lone werewolf neglected to use the lobby door, instead approaching one of the raised bay entrances directly and stepping up to the opening, pausing just barely inside. He struck an imposing figure, with his dark features and dark coat. Deep brown gaze swept over line of vehicles, the wall of tools and chests, the stacks of tires and the few people that were moving within. He made no attempt to announce himself, knowing his scent alone would be enough for any of his kind.
Mikey was actually the first to notice Tristan standing there. He had been looking over some parts on a table near the entrance. He looked at the handsome stranger curiously and then glanced at the door to the lobby. Was the ringer broken again?
Before he could really say anything Tristan was proven right. It didn't take long for seung to pick up an unfamiliar scent across the open garage. It was a wolf but not one she knew. That in itself wasn't a huge concern. Ever since the bloodrose pack had rolled in it felt like they were seeing more new wolves than ever. She set down what she had been working on and stood up to look around for the source. It was difficult to find. There he was a stranger standing near one of the open garage doors. For a moment she just watched him. It wasn't unusual for outsiders to need work done even wolves still needed transportation if they wanted to blend in. She crossed the garage directly to meet this new wolf. She stood before him with crossed arms and a poker face. He seemed older than the others from the new pack. That didn’t necessarily mean he wasn't with them but it wouldn't be a bad thing if he was either. He sure was tall. “Something I can help you with?” She asked with a flat tone. Scanning her eyes past him she didn't see any new cars or bikes parked in the lot.
Seung wasn't worried about if he had come to start trouble. She could handle one wolf if he tried anything. That and he wasn't likely to do so with this many smells hanging about unless he was stupid. While she wasn't so sure about Rhett his scent alone should be strong enough to deter. Still she wouldn't want to actually have to fight where Mikey might see it. It was a conversation she wasn’t ready to have yet.

Tristan was aware of the unknown male's scent, that it communicated an amount of dominance not quite on par with an Alpha. Potentially a Beta then. He wasn't specifically worried about fighting any one wolf in particular. But in greater numbers, he wasn't so certain. Of course, he hadn't come here for a fight and he was more than relaxed standing in the doorway. Enough that he let the smell of oil and gasoline and metal wash over him.
The first young man he made eye contact with was a soft human male. Almost a pup by even their age standards. Not who he was looking for. The pair traded evaluating stares and Tristan decided the young man likely wasn't in charge of the shop. He could be patient. And he indeed did not have to wait much longer.
Movement caught his eye across the garage and he focused on the lithe stoic young woman moving his direction. Her scent was more what he was looking for, though from that alone he could tell she and the young man were related. It brought up the question on whether she had been turned or a question of parentage. Tristan didn't back down, meeting her stare. He was entirely content with her straight to business question. This was much more the greeting he had expected, unlike Gemma's strangely warm welcome. "Yes," he said, glancing between the two of them and then leaving his focus on the woman. "Deputy Gemma sent me. I would like to buy a car."
That he had mentioned Gemma went a long way. Seung trusted her for more reasons than just being in the same pack. She could be a little kind in her assessments of others though. If he was here for business then Seung wouldn’t turn him away. Money was money regardless of what hands (or paws) it came from. “If that’s what you want, that I can help with. We have a few salvaged cars sitting in the back lot.” She gestured for him to follow and led him to a parking lot adjacent to where cars waiting to be worked on in the garage were parked. There were a handful of cars, some classic vintage and others vintage in the most technical terms. They did have a few of them listed for sale in a couple of places. It was just something that had been left on the back burner since dad’s passing. He had been a huge hobbyist for fixing up older cars so they had way more kicking around than they could justify hanging on to. Honestly it would be nice so be able to make a sale on one in person. “Have a look and let me know if you see one you like.”

While her demeanor remained impassive, Tristan could see the recognition. Gemma's name meant something to her beyond just the recognition of a packmate. They were friends. Or perhaps it was the title of deputy that earned a bit more respect. Either way, he understood his encounter with the blonde to have been much more fortunate that he originally thought.
He nodded, as that was indeed what he wanted help with. Casual investigation of pack dynamics aside. His dark gaze trailed over the open garage a moment longer before turning to follow Seung around the side of the building to the other lot. The werewolf paused, rather surprised to be met with such familiar silhouettes and colors. The collect of cars was actually quite familiar to him. He'd been born in the 1930s. He had learned to drive in the 50s and had an attachment to cars of that era and the few decades after. Modern vehicles were too...massive and uniform.
He stepped toward the closest, an old Corvette that was still clearly in a state of repair, not one of those marked for sale. Tristan ran his fingers over the hood as he looked over the rest of the collection. His eyes caught on a blue Jaguar roadster, reminding him of one of the first cars he owned himself, if briefly. Whether he could afford any of these was another question entirely. As nostalgic as it would be to own, 'like' would see the emptying of his bank account. Tristan needed something more practical. "Which is the least expensive you have?"
