General personality:

Michael is a bit of an oddball. He’s goofy, fun loving, and extremely adventurous. Known for being the kid who seeks out adventure, and maybe gets in over his head a little too much from it. That’s ok though, though he often gets himself into trouble, he has a knack for getting himself out of it too.

That said, he struggles with some things. Chief among them being trust - Mike has had it broken many times and it tends to make him put up walls. He won’t open up easy, even though he’s the furthest thing from shy. But once he does, it means you’ve earned his trust and respect for life. And he’d do anything for you as a result.

General History:

Michael was born a long way from Sweetwater, or rather, in a different part of Colorado. His family was poor, but what they lacked in money they more than made up for in love. That said, things weren’t easy - and even at a young age he knew his father struggled to make ends meet for him and his mom.

Tragedy struck when he was seven and both of his parents died in a car crash. Mike didn’t know how to respond, especially when he was placed in the care of an uncle he didn’t know - closer to the Sweetwater area. It was at his hands Mike suffered horrible abuse. The man was a mean drunk, who took most of his frustrations out on Mike.

As he grew older, Mike found escape in the supernatural and stories. Urban legends being a personal favorite. Through this, and excelling at school he thought he could keep his chin up. But before long, the abuse became too much and by the time he’d hit fifteen, Mike knew he had to find a way out.

One night; when he tried to take the belt to him, Mike fought back. It was a hard struggle but Mike managed to win out in the end. He took his uncle’s money - or at least what was in his wallet, the clothes on his back, and few precious belongings and ran as far away as he could.

Eventually, this brought him to Sweetwater, after many months of travel. He’d never heard of the place which was good enough for him. Using some of his money to rent a room at the local motel - he plans to bed down for at least a while. Unless he’s given reason to stay though - lord knows he’ll keep running.
