This was his week without Esmeralda, and his son had decided to tag along at the last minute, so Cisco truly had his house to himself… and he couldn’t find anything better to do to occupy himself than to change of of his work clothes and do some grocery shopping. When the kids were home they always wanted to go out, but Cisco actually enjoyed cooking. Sure there was the occasional kitchen fire, but that’s where being a volunteer firefighter came in handy. He threw on a pair of dark black skinny jeans, a white button up shirt and then a grey pull over sweater. He completed the outfit with a pair of white sneakers, ran a hand through his hair and grabbed his keys.
After fifteen minutes, Cisco was pushing a mostly empty buggy through Dave’s General Store, slowly browsing through the produce trying to decide what he might want to make for dinner. So far he had two garlic cloves, tomatoes, a red onion, red bell pepper and some assorted herbs. It was looking like he had the making for some fresh tomato soup. And that thought most certainly sounded appealing. He began to make a list in his head of the ingredients he’d need from other areas of the store, like heavy whipping cream and Parmesan cheese. The thought of cheese made him also want to make grilled cheese sandwiches to go with the soup. Now just to get the supplies and not burn anything once he got home.
