Fearless, Supportive friend Weaknesses: Unmotivated, disruptive, disrespectful, lack of direction General personality: To sum it all up in one word, West is rebellious. He is constantly bucking against his parents and what they want him to be 'as a Vanderson'. He's done pretty much everything he can think of that he knows his parents don't want him to do and he never tries to hide it. As a friend though he is actually a lot of fun to have around. He's definitely an enabler and will encourage others into trouble and rebellion right along with him. He'll push to an extent but if someone legitimately doesn't want to then he doesn't force them and doesn't think anything bad about them for not doing it. It's his own rebellion he truly thrives on and not the rebellion of others. He's supportive and encouraging of the dreams of others, cheering them on in their goals. West has a mixture of friends. He has many wealthy friends but he is also friends with those who are not. He has no issues going to hang out in the trailer park or to bring those types of friends back home, especially knowing how much his parents hate it. He is drawn to people who can bring out the 'worst' in him. While he normally seems abrasive and hard core, he does have a gentler side when you're lucky enough to find it. He goes on jogs to clear his mind and have some time to himself and he has a particular soft spot for animals, especially cute little ones. He has a kitten that he adores and keeps with him near constantly when he's at home. He also has a soft spot for his siblings, even if he's bad at showing it. He has a lot of growing up to do and deep down what he really needs, even if he doesn't yet realize it, is someone who will notice and care about him deeply, regardless of what he's done. He needs someone who thinks he's 'good enough' just as he is, even if he isn't. [/ul] HISTORY Years in Sweetwater: 20 Family Members: Vanderson founding family. Parents + older brother Price Vanderson and younger sister Alexis Vanderson General History: You could say that West has 'middle child syndrome'. He isn't the oldest, the youngest, or the only boy so he was often forgotten as a child, or so he sees it. His behavior could be seen as attention seeking because even negative attention from his parents was better than no attention. Throughout his childhood he fought against everything his parents wanted him to be, breaking rules left and right. He'd been arrested a couple of times in his early teen years due to petty theft. He’s open about his sexuality and doesn't even try to be sneaky when his sexual exploits leave the house in the morning. He has brought home girls, boys, and once someone transgendered, enjoying the discomfort his parents felt and sat through the lectures he got about how he was a soil on the Vanderson name. His parents have tried to take away his access to money as a form of punishment but he has many close wealthy friends and it’s never been an issue. He has run away to a friends house many times before and even has gone on vacations without permission. He has never had an actual job, though he did get paid for modeling a couple of times, always during trips with his friends. He graduated from high school with average grades but has shown no interested in finding a job or pursing a higher education, simply enjoying riding on the coat tails of his family name and wealth. He does have a dream to get out of Sweetwater for somewhere more exciting and high class but has found that to be harder than he thought for some reason.
