PERSONALITY[/b] People, nice things, predictability

Weaknesses: Selfish, judgmental, close-minded
General personality: Brodie is the archetypal hero kind of guy. He is strong, capable, and brave (also handsome and single). On the outside all most people see is a great--if not perfect--guy. Those who know him better, however, see the flaws. They know that he is close-minded; once he makes up his mind about something he won't likely change it. He isn't afraid to argue a point, because once he's put his foot down and taken a stance then not hell nor high water will bring him down. He can be extremely judgmental of things he knows nothing about, and at the root of his issues is a deep selfishness that drives him to meet all his desires.[/ul]

Founding FamiliesGeneral History: Brodie is the second child and only son of the head of the Sanders family, destining him to be the next head once his father passes away. He was raised to value the law and to want to be a sheriff, just like his dad. Loyalty to the town was sown into him in a similar way it is for all of the founding families, and it worked: Brodie always loved Sweetwater and has only left it once.
Brodie married his high school sweetheart, Trinity, when he was twenty, right after completing his associates degree. He became a deputy shortly thereafter. They waited six years before trying for children, and it took them two years to finally get pregnant. They had their first child, a son, when Brodie was twenty-nine. Four years later they had a daughter.
When Brodie was thirty-four, the sheriff at the time--who his own father had appointed--retired, naming Brodie the next town sheriff in his place. A year after that Trinity was diagnosed with breast cancer. The children were 10 and 6. Their mother had to leave the town in favor of a big city with big hospitals, so naturally Brodie packed the kids up and they all moved with her. Unfortunately, they couldn't stay. As much as they loved their mother, the town was drawing them back in a deeply personal and physical way; to their undying shame, they returned to Sweetwater, and two years later Trinity passed away. The children were 12 and 8 when she died.
The town surrounded Brodie and his kids during their time of loss. Family and friends alike did their best to care for them. Brodie was returned his sheriff position, and has been serving in that post faithfully for the last ten years. He has not remarried, nor has he dated around much, but there are plenty of people who would like to see that change...
