A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?

General personality: Zane is a cocky man to some, confident to others. It depends on who you asked and when. He was born into the lap of luxury and is well aware of it. He is very happy with the hand he was dealt in life and plans to fully enjoy it as well. He is a smooth talker. Able to flash a charming grin and can easily converse with anyone placed in front of him. Even if he does not like a person, no one else would know unless they picked up on the small underhanded comments he would send their way. He is also quite the ladies man. No problem sweet talking a woman and trying to charm her onto his arm and into his bed. With his bright blue eyes, family wealth, and jawline, he has a proven track record of being quite successful.

General History: Matthew Bateman had made a damn good name for himself as he moved through life. A well known and good lawyer that seemed to be able to win almost the impossible to win cases. Which meant that he was highly demanded and traveled all over to meet his clientele. He wound up meeting and marrying his wife, Elizabeth, while on a case. She was the prosecutor on the case he was on. After she beat him, one of his only losses, the two decided to team up and became an unstoppable duo.
Which meant that they were able to provide everything for their children after they got married and started having kids. They did the big city living for a long time, but they had also started their family later in life than what others did. So by the time that Zane was a teenager, they were ready to retire and wanted away from the big rush of the city. Becoming more of just consultants than actually living the court life. Someone recommended they checked out Sweetwater, and the couple instantly fell in love with the small town. Moving the 3 remaining Bateman children out with them as well.
Zane took this as an opportunity to meet new people and gain connections. He hated leaving his old friends and the comforts of the city, but easily found himself well liked and known in Sweetwater. He had been big into music since he was a child, and thanks to his parents deep pockets, he had been afforded the luxury of having good tutors and just raw talent. He mainly plays guitar and sings, but he knows a few other instruments like the piano and drums.
He is known for playing small venues (really just coffee shops and school dances) and thanks to his parents he was able to move into a place of his own, completely paid for by them as well. Taking himself a well made four bedroom home with one of the rooms turned into a at home recording studio. He goes to college locally and is focusing on getting his AA while doing online classes for music production.
