03.2023 | WELCOME BACK! Hello friends old and new! I'm so excited to welcome you all back to SITW! I've made some changes to the plot and added the ability to play supernatural charcaters! So come and check it out! I can't wait to jump back into this little town with all of you!
A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?
His parents had sent him out to get food but he had asked @mj to meet him first and sent her a picture of what he looked like. He was well aware that talking to someone in person was different than on the computer but he hoped they got along just as well. He was knee deep in ice cream because he was hungry but had no true sense of acting as if he had the things to make breakfast at least not until he went to the store.
MJ had stared at the picture her long-time no-name friend sent her. She stared, and she smiled, and she stared, and she closed her eyes and hoped. He had never showed her a picture of his face. She had moved to Sweetwater three years ago and they had never met. He was a boy of mystery, yet one of her only friends. She could hardly believe her eyes.
She knew who Reece Ashworth was. He was the boy at the back of the classroom with the bookbag that had the strange locks on it, as if he kept something very precious to him in it. He didn't talk much, but it wasn't as if he was unkind or closed off. MJ had never tried to talk to him. She was the girl at the front of the classroom who read books in her desk, finished her tests first, and maintained an A+ average. She was focused. She didn't have time for anything that wasn't going to get her into the best college...that is, she was that way before Blair. When he friendship with Blair was at its height she dressed differently and made more time for social things...but that friendship was over, and she was back to being solely studious.
Reece Ashworth. He was cute. Not cute enough to catch the eye of people like Blair--people at the top of the totem pole--but certainly cute enough for MJ to not be disappointed by the picture he'd sent.
She felt a bubbly excitement in her chest as she headed towards the shopping center.
She wasn't sure which shop to find him inside, so she walked slowly past each one, peering into the windows.
It's always important how people see us but we don't realize it and yet here he was honestly trying to think of what the best way to shop was. Most people went in and grabbed what they needed and called it a day but he did not want to have to come in and out a lot so he needed to find ways to compromise for it while he shopped and that was exactly what he intended on doing..as long as he did not get distracted.
That was when he spotted @mj. He thought a minute before making his way out. "Hey MJ," he said as he stood not quite awkwardly against the outside of the store building. "You actually came?" It came out as he had not intended and more of a question and his face did the same "surprised" reaction as he still looked. "I just mean I didn't really think you would come or I'm surprised." Yeah he decided to shut up at that minute. "You get here alright?"
MJ turned just in time to see Reece coming out of one of the shops. Her hands instinctively grabbed at one another in front of her, fingers gripping the pointer finger on the opposing hand as she stood her ground and waited for him to come to her. He did, and he was quick to get to talking. That helped with her nerves.
"Reece!" She said in return after her name left his mouth, smiling--too big, tone it down--and nodding her head in confirmation. "I came." She affirmed.
"I wasn't doing anything better." She said quickly, then grimaced a little, thinking that might have come off in a way it wasn't supposed to. It wasn't like he was the last thing she wanted to be doing or talking to. In fact, she'd gussied up a little before coming out, brushing her hair and putting on her favorite shoes.
"I mean, yeah, I'm glad to finally meet you in person." She almost didn't register his question, but after an awkward pause she jumped on it.
"Oh yeah, I got here just fine." It was a small town and pretty easy to get anywhere. Weird question. Maybe he was nervous too.
