The most notable of which and the one that his parents found out about first is a rather prominent broken compass that points West over top bright blue and gold watercolors that make a vague world map on the inside of his right forearm. He has two stud earrings in his left ear and wears a simple small gold chain necklace most of the time.

PERSONALITY
Likes: movies, drinking, showing off his motorcycle, space, hard sciences, art, physical activities, hats Dislikes: winter, parties, formal education, always being compared to his siblings, being alone, Strengths: will always be himself and support others doing the same, intelligent, never backs down from a fight Weaknesses: lacks motivation, doesn't have any goals in life and doesn't look at the big picture, never backs down from a fight
General personality: West is the antithesis of his siblings, on the outside. While they are see as the perfect angels of the family and able to get away with murder, he's toyed with the idea once or twice that he was adopted. A common argument with his father that aways seems to trigger the man's darker side.
He's always felt he was the unwanted child, recognizing early on that he was nowhere near the favorite, because he wasn't the 'baby girls' nor was he the perfect older brother. He was just West. So he decided he would do whatever he could to be unapologetically himself. Even if he's still figuring out what that means half the time. That meant skateboarding and learning he wasn't musical enough for a band. That meant dying his hair and getting tattoos. That meant a love hate relationship with parties and drugs. That meant piercings and getting caught drinking. That meant never quite finding a good group of friends and actively choosing not to filter his language around anyone.
While not the easiest to get along with, West is a fast friend. If he decides he likes someone, it would take a miracle to convince him otherwise. Because he has so few friends, he's very defensive of them.
West was never very interested in school and never did well in class. He earned more detentions and groundings than most for not turning in assignments or outright defying a teacher. Surprisingly, he always seemed to skate by with just good enough grades not to be held back, but even when asked about it, he didn't care to comment. Largely, he was just bored. He enjoyed very few of his high school classes, namely chemistry and history, but he was loathed to tell his dad about the later. The only tests West has ever aced in his life are drug tests (because he's not stupid) and both his written and practical driving test.

Education: High School Graduate, Sophomore in College Years in Sweetwater: 20, born and raised Family Members: Grandparents: Charles Vanderson (DECEASED) & Irene Vanderson (NPC, 68) Uncle: Dominic "Nico" Vanderson Parents: Elijah Vanderson & Siobhan Vanderson Siblings: Price Vanderson (21), Alexis Vanderson (18), & Claire Vanderson (NPC, 12)
General History: West was the second son born to the wealthy Vanderson family, one of the founding families of Sweetwater. Like his siblings, he has always been expected to follow in the family's proud traditions of higher education, wealthy careers, refined tastes, and notable achievements. Unlike his siblings, once he reached high school, he stopped caring about their little family charade. Even in college, he's behind on his credit hours and has done very little to distinguish himself like his family wishes.
Sure, his family's wealth has gotten him a lot of things in life, a horse, a motorcycle, a number of part time jobs, entry into the local community college despite barely qualifying grades and test scores. But he's made it clear he could do without it and has on a number of occasions, being grounded and cut off of his allowance a number of times. Sometimes this was for shit talking the family, starting or ending fights at school or arguing with his siblings. He's always been the black sheep of the family.
He worked at the movie theater for a while, but was fired for being lazy and helping himself to more snacks that what standard operating procedure allowed, whatever that meant. Currently, he works at the art gallery.
