A strange history surrounds the town, it is a place where mysterious and supernatural things have been known to happen. The reputation of the town reguarly draws in visitors and newcomers alike. While some residents avidly believe in the supernatural, others are far more skeptical. What do you believe?

Ferris was not above taking some coupons. Single living might not be all that expensive in Sweetwater, but cooking wasn't his strong suit. Avoiding use of his own stove stop was in the best interest of everyone, but mostly his pride. Couldn't have the town's Fire Chief burning down the apartments. As for who Hillard was handing them out to, he couldn't help but be amused. From the list, that was almost everyone in Sweetwater. Probably the point.
"Evening, Seung," Ferris greeted, not at all surprised to see her here. It was the local watering hole after all. But seeing her did remind him he had meant to text Mikey. If just to make sure he was doing okay. He smiled as Gemma recalled his drink order. He did really want another.
"No harm done, Shaw," he said easily. He could wait. There was plenty of sports and way too much awkward town politics going on behind him though that he desperately wanted another drink. He tipped the glass to the bartender in thanks and tried this one out while pointedly trying not to look over at the exchange behind him, but he couldn't help it. The solo cups seemed a particularly petty slight, considering that while they might not have wine glasses, they did have other proper glassware, for mixed drinks like martinis and the like. "How about the cocktail glasses?" he suggested helpfully, gesturing at where they hung. Not because he was trying to undermine Harland, but, weird as the 'Blood of the God's' line was, Ferris didn't want either man starting anything. The two owners had a clear problem, and the Fire Chief was starting to wonder if he would have to step in between them should things get more heated.
Seung was always happy to hear Gemma speak highly of her even if the competition for ‘best’ was pretty low in Sweetwater. She was very proud of the auto shop. Then again given the attitude the vampire was throwing at them she wasn’t so sure she wanted the headache anyway. It was a special kind of tacky arrogance to waltz into someone else’ business and loudly offer coupons to the customers for another business. Nor did she particularly want any coupons. Though the regulars came here less for the alcohol or food and more for the company of other werewolves. So in her mind there was little chance of Dukane actually stealing customers. She gave him a nod of acknowledgement as he was introduced to her. Seung turned to greet Harland with, what was for her, quite a friendly face. “Busy night I see.” She was of course unsurprised to see the display of disposable cups. Honestly if it weren’t for the company this place would be kind of a lousy bar. Harland had some….conservative…ideas about what a full service bar was. This was something she had come to terms with and reserved wine and fancier cocktails for her movie nights with Gemma.
With a small frown she realized she would likely need to wait for this tenseness with the vampires to clear before ordering anything. “Evening Chief.” In her dead tone way back to Ferris. Not that she had anything against Ferris. He seemed pretty agreeable. She had gotten some vague explanation from Mikey about the ladder in the shop. Which they had since ordered a replacement for. She followed his gesture to the cocktail glasses and then eyed the two leaders of the tension in the room. Harland was generally pretty keen not to start anything that might out them, but she also heard from Gemma about his …distaste for vampires.

Hillard chuckled at the box of wine and the plastic cups, he knew when problems were growing and the last thing he needed was a brawl with a local business figure and a Sweetwater son...much less a werewolf. He took the box and cups smiling at the Chief and his suggestion for the cocktail glasses, "These are just fine Chief, just fine," eyes that looked like they could kill with a glance cut back to Harland but Hillard wore a kind smile, "Harland your hospitality is warmth to my cold heart friend, I'm sure we'll be good friends," he suddenly defused the situation like air from a tire looking at everyone, "I hope to get to know you all! Seung, I'm actually about to swap a few pieces on my bike soon, I'll come by and see what you think...Officer, pleasure thank you for your services..."
Hillard took his pride and wine and plastic cups and returned to his sister’s.
To say she found the ensuing exchanges entertaining would be an understatement. And it took all her self control not to snort in laughter at the red solo cups. Instead, taking a set of deep slow breaths to keep her composure, picking up her own glass and drinking it down. That helped, at least she wasn’t about to laugh anymore. But she was looking forward to the tension dying down.
And just like that, the vampire handled himself quite well, despite everything. And Gemma would have to admit that was impressive, though not as impressive as Harland allowing the group to stay in his bar altogether. He could have easily refused to serve them, but he managed to find his composure and even derive a touch of amusement out of the situation. Not that was impressive. She gave a nod to Hilliard as he took the box of wine and the cups and returned to his sisters.
“Screw the mixed drink, I’ll take a shot of whatever whiskey is closest in reach.” Gemma said with a slight chuckle, only half joking. She couldn’t even make any jokes, not with Ferris here. Not without basically outing them as wolves… though she had heard a few interesting little rumors. But in a town like this, rumors were a dime a dozen and never could be trusted.
"Yeah I'd like to rip that cold heart out of your chest and feed it to you before ripping your head off," Harland thought intrusive thoughts but his Gem, her voice pulled him out of the violent thoughts and to her, "Makers Mark it is then shortie," he grabbed them all a shot glass and poured up the shots, "For everyone," he offered and winked at Gemma.

Ferris wasn't a very good read of sarcasm, so he didn't really hear just how patronizing Hillard sounded. But he did catch some of the look the man directed toward the bartender. The Fire Chief wasn't too drunk yet to miss that. Yeah, those two didn't like each other one bit. He'd have to steer clear of the bar if there were motorcycles out front. While he wasn't opposed to breaking up a fight, he was opposed to starting one.
If he had to guess, Hillard was intentionally asking for a fight. Only he had skated down the ice to the opposing goalie and asked him, when there was clearly a whole team willing to back the man up. And while he'd brought his own team, he accepted the solo cups. And that meant Harland won this round. "Shots for everyone? Must be Christmas," he teased, but gave an appreciative nod to Harland's generosity.
Looking back up at the tv as he down his whiskey, Ferris realized he had missed a goal being scored while everyone filtered in. But then a fight broke out and he was more interested in watching one on screen than playing a referee in real life.
