[ Made for Alexis Vanderson ] It was a Saturday afternoon, a good three hours past lunch and at least three before any of the Vandersons were going to go out for festivities. What festivities, you ask? There are always festivities to partake of when you're rich. Tens of invitations came to their house on a weekly basis, inviting the kids to this birthday celebration, asking the parents to be audience to this presentation, and yada yada yada. The hardest thing in the life of socialites like them was to have nothing to do on the weekend.
Price had just woken up from his nap. That is, he had woken up from the nap he'd started at about 2 am. Friday night were when he preferred to paaaaaaartay. He typically slept most of Saturday, and then Saturday nights were for a more casual exchange, typically involving soften music and a willing woman.
He went first to the kitchen to grab a soda. He had a stupid high metabolism, the kind that didn't even let him put on muscle, as he would have preferred. He was a tall, skinny dude, and he'd just have to live with that.

Alexis had been to a party the night before, as was typical on a Friday night. She had ended up at Cece's house and after an encounter with the idiot Brett, she had ended up texting Ellis D. He had come to rescue her, like she knew he would. There was no one else she felt like she could count on with certainty more than him, regardless of the fact they weren't actually together anymore.
She still felt guilty for what had happened, for how he'd been hurt because she had asked him to come. She shouldn't have texted him, her friends certainly kept reminding of her of that as they had left Cece's house after the cops had been called. She knew she should leave him alone but she found it hard to do, especially when she'd been drinking.
In the end she had ended up home earlier than normal and not quite as drunk either. There was a light bruise on her arm from where Brett had grabbed her but she was just glad it hadn't been worse. When Price came into the kitchen he'd find Alexis sitting at the counter on a barstool, in the middle of making a post on Instagram. She glanced up at him when he walked in. "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty."

Price smiled, a wide thing nearly stretching ear to ear.
“Hey Lexi Lou.” He’d grown up calling her that. “You’re looking less beastly than usual for a Saturday morning...or whatever time of the day it is. No fun last night?” He stuck his hand into the fridge and pulled out a carton of milk. He’d continue to pop off the lid and drink direction from the gallon jug.

No fun last night. While she had been at a party, she wouldn't have called her experience last night 'fun'. The long knit grey cardigan she was wearing was currently off her shoulders and hanging off of her elbows. If he cared to look he might have seen the bruise on her upper arm. At his mention of last night she pulled the jacket casually back over her shoulders, covering it up. "Not really," she replied.
She scrunched up her nose as he drank out of the carton, "Price, that's disgusting," she muttered.

It wasn’t that Price didn’t care, necessarily; he just didn’t notice. He swallowed the milk in his mouth and grinned at his sister.
“No, actually,” he raised the carton to his lips and finished his sentence before tipping more milk into his mouth, “this is disgusting.” He filled his mouth, sloshed it around, gargled a little, and then dribbled it back into the milk carton. He’d grin, proud of himself, enjoying the reaction she’d no doubt have.

Alexis' eyes widened as she made an offended noise of shock and disgust. "Price!!" she said, "What the hell is wrong with you!?" Ugh, brothers were the WORST! She'd be dumping out that milk as soon as he left the kitchen...and probably never drink milk again.
With a scowl still on her face she shrugged her shoulders. "I haven't decided yet," she had a couple of options of course, she always had options. "What about you?"
The sound of a loud and obnoxious motorcycle engine pulled up in front of the house. West had never made it home last night after hanging with his friends. It wasn't uncommon. At least half of his nights were not spent at home these days. There were definitely times when he decided to show up at home at 2 or 3 or the morning, just to piss of his parents for waking them with his Harley and a loud door slam as he entered the house.
Today there was no door slam, it was the middle of the day and there shouldn't be anyone to wake up anyway. He came in the front door and tossed his leather jacket off into the corner, not bothering to hang it on the coat rack or drape it over the arm of the couch.
Hearing chatter in the kitchen he made his way towards the room. A tiny little meow was heard in the hallway and he found his tiny white and orange kitten, Harley Quinn, padding towards him. He scooped her up, holding her close to his chest and rubbing his finger under her chin before he reached the kitchen where he found his siblings there.
He didn't say anything to them but walked into the pantry where he found some cat treats and brought the bag over to sit at the bar next to Alexis. He set down Harley Quinn on the counter top and shook the bag to get her attention. She excitedly meowed and pawed at the bag.

Price smirked, pleased with himself and the sounds he could procure from his sister. It was classic, and it didn't matter that he was technically an adult now.
"Too many things." He jested calmly when she asked what was wrong with him, and he considered it true for all of them. Their parents had done a pretty piss poor job, hadn't they? The motorcycle's grumbling was a welcome sound to Price's pretty ears.
"I was thinking about grabbing dinner at Rosie's with some friends...but those plans could change if you guys," his gaze flickered to their entering brother, "wanted to do something." Not like they ever had. They'd never been the siblings to get together and be friends with one another, even though they were pretty close in age. But maybe that could change.
He watched West set his ridiculous kitten onto the counter with a reserved expression.

Dinner at Rosie's? She really had expected for Price to have something far more interesting or crazy going on that eating dinner at the local diner. Perhaps he'd lost his touch. Though of course she didn't voice those thoughts aloud.
She looked at him oddly at his request as if he had a porcupine sitting on his head or something. They didn't hang out, like ever. She opened her mouth to perhaps response but no sound came out and she looked over to West as he sat down beside her.
She smiled at the kitten and reached a hand out to scratch along her body once before leaving her alone. She looked over at West with a questioning 'what do you think?' sort of expression.
West pulled open the resealable treat bag and shook a couple of cat treats into his palm. Setting the bag down, out of reach of the kitten, he picked up a treat between his forefinger and thumb and offered it to Harley Quinn who eagerly bit it out of his fingers. Her sharp little kitten teeth pinched against his skin but he just grinned at her enthusiasm.
He felt Alexis looking at him and he looked over to her to catch her expression and then looked over to Price. No, they might not normally hang out, but why shouldn't they. He grinned. How much trouble could the three Vanderson kids make on a single evening.
"Oh! I have some fireworks. We could go to the lake and shoot them off. Or I have a friend who is having a bonfire at the empty fairgrounds," he suggested.

Indeed, Alexis was blessedly fooled. Eating dinner at Rosie’s was the purest form of friend hang out—and not something Price ever did. It was code, code only he and his friends knew. But if a parent was snooping then he’d be blameless.
Price raised a brow at his sister as she looked to West for...approval? Did she need a man calling the shots in her life? Probably what the trailer park scum did for her before she wizened up and dumped him. Price rolled his eyes, but his excitement was restored when West had another suggestion.
“Bonfire?” He was interested. Big fires. Lots of people. Surely booze and other goodies to partake of. Likely easy girls, too. “I’m in.”

Hanging out with her brothers on the weekend was not exactly Alexis' 'go-to' for a fun time. She had been waiting to see if West would agree but if he didn't then she didn't want to get roped into hanging out with Price by herself. She would never admit it out loud but she didn't like to be alone with him, she felt like he was right on the verge of a threat.
Still...a bonfire did actually sound really fun. She loved a good bonfire. She considered the two of them for a second and tapped her finger against her lips. "Okay, ya," she agreed. "Let's do it."
West was actually really excited about this. They used to play together more when they were younger but time and friends and money seemed determined to pull them in different directions. It seemed they had all taken the pressure from their parents in different ways, developing into fairly different personalities for the siblings. Still, West had always loved his siblings and he missed the days when they spent more time together, even if he would never admit that out loud.
He grinned as they both agreed to the bonfire. "Sick," he said with a nod. "I'll provide the grass," he added with a smirk, not bothering to lower his voice in case dearest momsie and pops were listening.

"Sweet." Price agreed, taking in the moment with a satisfied smirk. It wasn't about hanging out with his siblings for him so much as it was about doing something rebellious together, right under their parents' noses. A bonfire sounded innocent. They'd be happy to see their kids together. The joke was on them.
"Now get your motherfucking cat off the counter, dickweed." Price wasn't saying it meanly, but directly, and with a hint of a threat in his tone. If West didn't get the cat off, he would, and he wasn't about to pick it up nicely.

Alexis crinkled her nose at West’s comment. Alexis did not like drugs or smoking and while she had made comments to Ellis D. and her brothers about her distaste for it, she wasn’t in the mood to argue with them. That decision was only solidified when Price ordered West to remove his pet from the counter.
Alexis wasn’t sticking around for this, wherever this turned out to be. She slipped off the bar stool and made her way out of the kitchen, tossing back a quick, “Meet you out front in a couple hours,” before she left the room.
